Restaurant Manager Job In Burns, MI
Performs and directs overall store management. Responsible for inventory and money control systems. Directs staff to ensure that food safety, product preparation, and cleanliness standards are maintained. Maintains standards of restaurant safety and security. Recruits staff and oversees training program. May contact prospective customers to promote sales. Responsible for local marketing initiatives. Maintains business records. Exceptional customer service is a major component of this position.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
Completes and posts the staff work schedules.
Manages a staff of approximately 4 to 12. Assigns, oversees and evaluates work. Recommends promotion, transfer, or termination of employees. Conduct written and verbal staff evaluations.
Communicates changes of food preparations formulas, standards, etc. to staff.
Supports local and national marketing initiatives.
Ensures that all local and national health and food safety codes are maintained and company safety and security policy are followed.
Identifies and contacts prospective customers to promote sales.
Requirements
Prerequisites:
Education: High school graduate or equivalent, college degree preferred.
Experience: A minimum of two (2) years in QSR environment, experience in supervising and training staff. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Physical:
Must be able to work any area of the restaurant when needed and to operate a computerized Point of Sale system/cash register.
Position requires bending, standing, walking and repetitive use of hands and arms the entire workday.
Must have the ability to lift 10 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
Position requires the ability to handle exposure to food and cleaning chemicals on an hourly basis.
Must have the ability to work a minimum of 40 to 50 hours a week.
Must have reliable transportation and the ability to be on call 24 hours a day.

Complete diet history/food preference screening upon guest admission.
Develop, maintain and implement menus specific to the guest population.
Maintain kitchen cleanliness compliant with State and Federal guidelines.
Supervise purchasing in the dietary department specific to the facility budget.
Manage all aspects of kitchen operations including procurement, sanitation, scheduling, training, talent development and QAPI.
Cooperate with other departments to identify and accommodate guests' choices, preferences and customary routines regarding eating.
Complete timely and accurate clinical documentation of dietary portion of guest care plans.
Qualifications
Certified Dietary Manager Certification or current enrollment in a certification course approved by the Dietary Managers Association.
ServSafe Certification required within 90 days of employment.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Prefer two-year supervised food service experience in an institutional setting focused on planning, preparing and servicing regular and therapeutic diets.

Assists the General Manager in achieving successful operations at a location including production, sales, customer service, inventory management, delivery, human resources, safety and administrative activities. Plans and directs these functions in order to meet operational and financial goals for the location.
* Assumes location responsibility in the absence of the General Managers.
* Keeps manager informed on status of initiatives, issues, schedules that impact the success of the location.
* Provides direction to the management team and employees to ensure accomplishment of location objectives and goals.
* Assists General Manager in recruiting, hiring, promoting, training and terminating employees.
* Assists in preparation of the location budget preparation, operating costs, and annual reporting of the operation.
Bachelor's degree in business or related field and four-years (4) related experience and/or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
