What You'll Do: Assumes a lead role in a particular content area. Develops assessment items to be used on District assessments and in the District item bank and develops model SLOs and learning progressions for content area assigned. Collaborates with other departments in the management, development, and analysis of District-supported assessments and SLOs. Utilizes the District's item banking system to modify and catalog items as needed. Provides support and training in the use of various assessments, including semester and course assessments, common formative assessments, and item bank developed interim assessments; assists teachers and administrators with tools and resources to aid instruction. Qualifications Position Summary: Women struggling with addiction have limited options for treatment - and even fewer options if they are pregnant or have small children. The Wings Program provides residential and intensive outpatient treatment for pregnant women and their children aged birth to five. These comprehensive services facilitate recovery from addiction and promote family self-sufficiency and healthy lifestyle choices. Wings works closely with the North Range Behavioral Health Early Childhood and Family Connects programs and continued treatment includes the children in a whole family approach. Behavioral Health professionals are responsible for providing direction and counsel to individuals who are dealing with behavioral health challenges such as mental illness, addiction, and co-occurring disorders. Behavioral Health Workers work in teams with other specialists to provide recommendations for a patient's behavioral and emotional care. Duties Performed: Assist supervisory staff in assuring that clients comply with program rules, guidelines, and directives while they participate in all aspects of daily living and treatment within the facility and outside the facility when instructed. Assist in the client administration process including orientation, training, and other activities to maximize clients' positive adjustment to the setting. Observe client behavior to identify changes or indicators of special needs and report those observations to designated staff as they occur. Participate in the delivery of group activities and serve as an assistant to the clinical staff in treatment events as requested. May participate in one-to-one treatment sessions with clients as designated by the program. Assist with meal service and participate with clients during mealtime as indicated by client care plans; assist with client wellness checks and breaks per program requirements. May be required to monitor clients on breaks where tobacco products are used. Conduct house/community meetings and engage in client discussions. Assist in monitoring client use of medications and management of those medications. Assist in special outings, tours, trips, and other special projects that are part of the program plans. Function as a crisis intervention specialist when required to implement response plans for a client demonstrating difficult behaviors, for health emergencies, or natural disasters. Use appropriate de-escalation, seclusion, and/or restraint techniques when necessary following program guidelines. Demonstrate competency in the use of timeouts, token economy, therapeutic privacy, therapeutic physical restraint, and locked time out as behavioral interventions as appropriate for the facility and situation. Education/Credentials: A High School Diploma or GED is required. A Valid Driver's License and driving record that meets agency insurability requirements is required. Bilingual Skills (English/Spanish) desired Experience: No experience is required, training is offered upon hire.
