Position Summary
The Marketing Intern will support marketing event duties during the summer concert season and gain hands-on experience in entertainment marketing. This role is ideal for a creative, motivated, and eager-to-learn individual. The intern will work closely with the marketing team to support campaigns, assist with brand engagement, and contribute to promotional initiatives for concerts, live events, and venue experiences.
What You'll Do
Assist and/or individually execute marketing and publicity activities at events
Point of contact for radio remotes
Point of contact for radio/tour media promotions night of event
Escort photographers/videographers to designated areas front of house to shoot artists according to tour policy
Main point of contact for reviewing press needs on the night of show
Execute box office media and promotional will call needs night of show
Assist the Marketing & Communications department with additional projects including digital, media promotion and publicity as directed.
Familiarity with Facebook, Twitter and Instagram with ability to post before, during and after events
What We're Looking For
Previous internship experience recommended
College students recommended with a preferred concentration in marketing, communications, business management or a related field
High level of resourcefulness, initiative, and good judgment in setting priorities and handling multiple tasks simultaneously
Effective verbal communication skills
Knowledge of the Detroit Media Market
Knowledge/Interest in the Event Marketing Industry
Work Environment & Expectations
Frequent visual/auditory attention
Moderate to high noise level
Evening, weekend and holiday hours required
