However, there will also be opportunities to develop epidemiologic studies focused on imaging biomarkers of cancer risk, cancer treatment-related issues including the influence of radiation therapy on non-cancer outcomes, and genetic predisposition to cancer. The fellow will play a leading role on research projects, have the chance to present research findings at national scientific meetings, develop grant writing skills and to learn from a cadre of other postdoctoral fellows and mentors.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Applicant must hold a doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology (PhD or PsyD) from an APA accredited program and be pursuing licensure in New York
Applicant must have prior assessment experience, including battery selection, test administration, scoring, interpretation and report writing

What you'll do:
Under the direction of the PI and the Postdoctoral Research Scientist, perform tasks that utilize mouse model systems.
Performs behavioral training of mice.
Manage mouse colony room: setup breeding cages, weaning pups, and toe cut for genotyping.
Assist in conducting daily lab routines such as IACUC protocol maintenance, lab supplies, and safety compliance.
Perform experiments that can involve anatomical viral tracing and brain histology.
Under the direction of the PI and the Postdoctoral Research Scientist, assist in performing survival and non-survival surgeries, including surgical preparation.
Performs other laboratory setup duties as assigned by the PI.
The Research Technician will have the opportunity to learn the measurement of neural activity using 2-photon calcium imaging and/or electrophysiology, and the perturbation of activity in targeted neural circuit elements during task performance.
