Assist with purchasing equipment, materials, and supplies for the project. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED: Ability to work cooperatively in a team is required. Initiative, resourcefulness, punctuality, and ability to work independently are essential. Experience with methods of fish production. Ability to take an unbiased sample. Ability to accurately record data and enter into a worksheet for analysis. Knowledge of the scientific method. Ability to safely operate a light truck. Ability to use Microsoft Office programs. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Ability to operate and maintain laboratory and field equipment. Ability to perform routine administrative tasks. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY This position does not have supervisory responsibility. OTHER DUTIES: Position will conduct other related duties as required QUALIFICATIONS: A bachelor's degree in Aquaculture, Agriculture, Biology, Environmental Science, Fisheries, or a closely related field. WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT: Physical activity related to farming. Requires handling of bagged feed and farming supplies. Exposure to seasonal farming conditions such as extreme temperatures, dirt, water, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises.
