Job Summary/Description: KMVT has an opening for a multi-media journalist/sports reporter. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to get a start in TV journalism and who has a passion for local sports coverage. This person will research, shoot, write, edit, and present news stories on the air, typically three days a week. The other two days will focus on sports reporting & anchoring. They will also post news & sports content on our website and be actively involved with social media. * Please note, the primary job duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the information listed above * Qualifications/Requirements: * Experience in college-level broadcast journalism training. The Grant Writer will conduct the full range of activities required to prepare, submit, and manage grant proposals to foundation, corporate, and government sources, ultimately to raise funds to support Jesse Tree's rental assistance programs. The VISTA will also work directly with other VISTA members to coordinate and facilitate events, identify potential sponsors, and send out donor communications. Member Duties : The Grant Writer will increase fundraising to assist the organization in increasing its capacity and reach in the community by applying for annual and new grant funding and asking for donations from members of the community. 1.Assist in developing a grants submission plan with goals and objectives. 2. Conduct the full range of activities required to prepare, submit, and manage grant proposals to foundation and corporate sources. 3. Cultivate and maintain a portfolio of corporate and individual contacts to develop commitment to the organization. 4. Set up a process to organize meetings, make proposals, send thank you notes, and follow up with donors periodically. 5. Create records of prior grants received and create a calendar, handbook, or toolkit so that the activities can be picked up and carried on after VISTA support ends.
