Field Service Responsibilities
Install new/modified electron microscopes at customer's facility to ensure full functionality

Review reports and documentation from customers and inspect malfunctioning instrument
Resolve problems with affected instrument or recommend solution
Perform routine maintenance, calibration, and repair

Field Service Requirements
An AS degree in engineering/science from an accredited college and a minimum of 6 months electronics training or experience
Excellent customer service skills
The position requires a valid driver's license, passport, and up to 30% overnight travel
Hands-on experience with installation and repair of equipment
Knowledge of and ability to apply analog, digital, and RF electronics
A basic understanding of troubleshooting techniques

What You Will Do:

Leads will support all areas to include operation and maintenance of multiple components within the HVAC system, plumbing installation/maintenance, generator operations, fire detection and suppression, life safety, temperature control systems, building management systems, and digital systems (including fire alarm, duress, card access, CCTV).
Leads will support all areas to include plan, implement, coordinate and supervision of all electrical operations, maintenance, and energy management programs for a critical facilities environment. Ensure conformance with all Change control development, approvals, and execution.
Scheduling, development and quality assurance for all preventive maintenance, contracted maintenance, general maintenance.
Routinely performs all work in strict accordance with governing MOP/SOP/ERP procedures, and maintenance work instructions.
Operates and monitors critical and non-critical system equipment and components. Oversees work efforts (including 3rd party contractors) for safe and compliant operation, maintenance (corrective and preventive), and modification of critical equipment.
Disables and enables fire alarm control panels and systems.

Respond immediately to emergency situations (fire, evacuation, equipment failure, etc.) and customer concerns.

Receives work order for Preventative and Corrective maintenance on electrical systems and building physical structure. Consult with supervisors and staff as appropriate to identify and order necessary materials to complete all maintenance and perform necessary work. Finalize work orders by completing necessary documentation.
Understand the engineering design and operational aspects of all electrical systems.
Evaluate, assign, and monitor the safe work responsibilities and safety procedures capabilities of employees and contractors.
Respond quickly to emergency situations, develop, and communicate and improve ADC's processes to ensure continuous improvement and innovation.
QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma and minimum 3-5 years' experience in electrical or mechanical critical facilities support; or 7+ years' experience as HVAC or mechanical technician.
Electrical/Mechanical certifications preferred.
Able to work overtime and longer shifts if needed at the site (greater than 12 hours)

Responsibilities:
Perform site surveys, inventory, and create as built document for installed systems.

The Polysomnographic (PSG) Technologist II will measure electrical activity of patient's brain waves and other physiological variables, using polysomnography in the outpatient Sleep Electroencephalographic (EEG) Clinic. This position supports outpatient research studies; clinical neurophysiology studies; and the diagnosis/treatment of sleep disorders. This staff member will collect patient information; document observations; follow protocols; record and review data; write reports; engage in training; maintain the technical environment and laboratory inventory; and assist with maintenance of equipment. The incumbent will also explain procedures to be performed in a manner that is age appropriate and understandable to patients and their family.
**This is a night shift position
Responsibilities:
Complete Polysomnographic (PSG) studies. Collect, analyze, and integrate patient and clinical information; set up equipment; and apply electrodes and sensors according to accepted published standards.
Assist with seizure montages, Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP), Bi-level, Oxygen Evaluation, Ventilator, Tracheostomy Capping, and Electroencephalography (EEG) studies.
During recordings, observe and record clinical activity pertinent to the interpretation of the study, including but not limited to body position and movement; oximetry; airflow; end-tidal data; and respiratory effort.
Follow procedural protocols as an antecedent to day studies (i.e., Multiple Sleep Latency Test (MSLT), Maintenance of Wakefulness Test (MWT), etc.) to ensure the collection of appropriate data, including “lights out” procedures and ruling out Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA).
Document all medications administered by nursing staff and/or physicians.
Document routine half-hour observations, including sleep stages and clinical events, changes in procedure, and other significant events in order to facilitate scoring and interpretation of PSG results.
Prepare preliminary PSG study reports with pertinent clinical information. Assist physicians with their understanding and interpretation of the PSG report.
Review and highlight PSG records for the clinically relevant activity. Monitor PSG study-tracing quality ensuring that signals are artifact-free. Make adjustments if necessary.
Score clinical events (i.e., respiratory events, cardiac events, limb movements, arousals, etc.) utilizing American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM) standards.
Generate accurate reports by tabulating sleep/wake and clinical event data.
Monitor and maintain equipment for recording of PSGs, and other neurophysiological studies, including maintenance, cleaning, and storing of the equipment, computers, and recording electrodes.
Assist with the appropriate archiving and storage of study records.
Train parents and family on the basic functioning of the even-trigger devices to record appropriate clinical activity. Educate study participants and their families on the Sleep EEG Clinic's monitoring procedures. Ensure that the interaction is according to the audience's (i.e., patient and family) level of understanding.
Ensure quality control for all studies.
Serve as the point of contact for the lab's Emergency Medicine Physician (EMP) regarding technical aspects.

• Certification - Basic Life Support Upon Start; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support Upon Start; Registered in one of the following: RCIS, RTR VI, RTR CV, RTR CI, unless a graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Licensure - Registered Nurse Upon Start If the team member doesn't possess one of the above registries, the team member must be licensed in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Registered Nurse.
• Experience - One year of experience in interventional Cardiac Cath Lab or Electrophysiology Lab performing Cardio Invasive Specialist duties or equivalent years of experience as a nurse working in a critical care hospital unit.
• Education - Associate Degree Nursing Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and /or Graduate of an accredited, school of Cardiovascular Technology or Radiology Technology or equivalent education and experience.
