Oversees the purchase of food and supplies within budget and maintains a supply to adequately cover each meal.
Provides technical guidance and administrative direction over diet planning, menu formulation, preparation and service of regular and therapeutic diets.
Assures meals are nutritious, palatable, and crafted in a timely and consistent manner while adhering to menus and diet orders.
Interviews guests and family members, as necessary, to obtain diet history.
Provides timely and accurate completion of dietary portion of the clinical record.
Participates in regularly scheduled conferences, including department head meetings and interdisciplinary care plan meetings.
Qualifications:

Summary
This position has availability to work from home two days a week!
The Outpatient Clinical Dietician at Kahlert Cancer Center will assist in the development of a proactive, nutrition focused environment, which aims to identify patients at nutritional risk and provide them with the tools needed to optimize their Oncology treatment outcomes.
The dietitian will be responsible for providing Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) that is integrated with the patient's medical goals to promote and maintain an optimal nutritional status. As an integral member of the Cancer Center's Clinical Interdisciplinary Team; the dietitian will evaluate, interpret, monitor and document the nutritional status and nutritional needs; including diet, supplement and enteral/parental nutrition recommendations, using established standards of care and practice guidelines. The dietitian will be responsible for developing and implementing educational materials to meet the needs of both the patients and the healthcare professionals caring for them.
The dietitian will work closely with all members of the Oncology Team.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's Degree Nutrition/Nutrition related field Required

Provides medical support which may include: Adverse Event Reporting - the investigation and reporting of medical product experiences, in depth investigation of medical adverse events and works with Medical Affairs, Clinical, and Regulatory Affairs in the preparation of documentation on adverse events for the FDA; or Medical Communication which includes writing standard and custom responses to communication requests, in-depth assistance to the medical and lay community by responding to inquiries with medical/scientific information that is more complex and requires more data than is supplied in the package insert or the standard letter database.
Off-label information would be disseminated at this level. May provide training internally and at investigator meetings on safety issues, responsible for serious adverse events and CRF completion, writing study summaries, and review protocols, study summary investigator brochures and IND annual updates for safety data verification.

Qualifications
Education/background:
Bachelor's degree with related health science background required.
