    PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES Essential Functions * Receive bulk ingredients for the plant. * Maintain neat, accurate, written records of all transactions involving the receipt, transfer, and storage of bulk ingredients according to Red Gold policy. * Sample, test, and record results of all sampled ingredients prior to unloading into their respective storage tanks/silos. * Inspect condition of hoses (delivery & Red Gold), & screens for damage or debris prior to unloading ingredients. * Keep outside & inside areas clean and free of debris. * Report any Safety violations, deficiencies, & broken equipment to supervision. * Report the loss of, or damage to, & replace any of the accessories (locks, cables, etc.) used to secure the hose caps, connectors, and unloading adapter ("boot"). * Document tank readings on all bulk tanks at prescribed intervals. * Prior to noon each day communicate to Materials Department which rail car tankers are empty and also which tankers will be empty prior to the rail road switch. * Pull rail car tanker bills of lading from the folder of shipped rail car tankers. The bills pulled from the folder are for the tankers that are empty. These bills of lading are to be placed in the shipping department mail box. The folder is in the Materials Department. * Maintain dry ingredients racks, communicate with ingredient driver the number of pallets of each ingredient required, consolidate multiple ingredients onto individual pallets for production, and prepare ingredient pallets for return to primary ingredient storage area. * Plan for the amounts of each hand-added ingredient necessary for production and request issue of required ingredients to achieve continuous availability to cook room for uninterrupted batching. * Organize consolidated ingredients onto pallets. Prepare and follow consolidated ingredient pallet standard. Account for each bin of paste used correctly * Empty tomato paste into the ribbon blender using the paste extractor and transfer to the proper paste tank * Operators must follow instructions to achieve desired brix standards * Open lids on paste bins to prepare for blending * Keep proper records on paste pumper sheets and account for all bins used * Keep extractor and areas clean at all times * Break down wooden bins and stack wood. Incumbent must know all operations/procedures and keep process running. Also, must have direct communication with supervisor at all times. Due to the dynamic nature of our business, duties and responsibilities may be added, deleted or changed at any time at the discretion of management, formally or informally, either verbally or in writing. PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES * Communicates effectively with all the operators at all times * Communicate effectively with the Production Supervisor on any needs, including any potential repairs needed on equipment, or any other issues that arise * Keep areas neat and orderly, including under the cook tanks, mill area, paste area, and seamer area * Complete paperwork for 100% accuracy. Help make sure paper work is being completed correctly by other operators, including cook sheets, Taylor charts, paste sheets, and seamer downtime sheets * Be an extension of the Supervisor and work closely with him/her. * Be a relief operator, if needed * Be responsible for cook room floor and processing areas, and help make sure everyone in these areas is following these policies * Help cook room get started up running after clean & grease, shift changes, product changes, etc. * Cooler set-up verification * Grease all fittings on the outside of both seamers at the beginning of shift * Mill assembly and CIL * Perform CIP following product runs * Fill out Production efficiency board.
