The successful candidate will have at least 5 years' experience as a commercial leasing attorney. Responsibilities:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Draft, interpret and negotiate various real estate related contracts including commercial real estate leases, purchase and sale agreements, licenses, consulting and service agreements, vendor and construction contracts, estoppels, SNDAs and other ancillary real estate documents.
Manage and resolve commercial tenant lease issues and ensure tenant lease compliance.
Manage legal work for the company as needed. Help support the company s business needs and objectives through strong legal advice and guidance.
Provide advice and counsel to executive members of the company regarding corporate business matters, real estate issues, and other general legal advice.

Day to day
Under the guidance of a Vice President - Associate General Counsel, provides legal counsel, support and representation to IHG's development and capital investment teams regarding hotel development and capital transaction in the Americas, including hotel management agreements, real estate, franchise agreements, joint ventures, financing and other real estate structures. Prior experience with real estate development is required. May perform complex legal assignments in area of specialization
+ Utilize outside counsel and other external resources as appropriate to ensure the Company is represented in a cost efficient and effective manner. Develop strategic direction and alternatives on legal matters. Provide status reports on pending legal matters, advice in course of action for department/division legal issues, and identify, review and understand internal files and documents.
+ Direct and oversee internal and external team members to ensure performance is measured and communicated, administrative matters are completed timely, internal and external budgets are developed, monitored and met, and profit and loss statements and other tracking tools are reviewed and utilized to measure performance on an ongoing basis.
+ Draft, negotiate and review/modify legal documents to meet Company standards/objectives.
+ Provide counsel regarding relevant legal issues. Develop and maintain a good working relationship in all client areas. Assist management in evaluating the legal impact of various corporate or department strategies, determining alternatives based on business and legal considerations and the relevant environment.
+ Represent and support department or division management in dealings with external parties.
+ Coordinate and work with other areas of Legal Department on related matters to ensure efficient resolution of issues.

Requirements
**Education:**
Bachelor's Degree and a Juris Doctor Degree. Member of the Georgia State Bar in good standing (or a member of another United States bar which is able to become a member of the Georgia bar).
**Experience**
5+ years post qualification and progressive work-related experience in the practice of law with expertise in Real Estate for consideration.
**Technical Skills and Knowledge**
