Visually examining and removing any/all defective gelatin capsules from batches either manually or through use of automated equipment Responsibilities: * Cleans and prepares inspection area for use. * Cleans bins and trays for inspection and transfer of product. * Visually inspects capsules and removes any defective product through use of automated equipment or visual inspection techniques. * Operates automated equipment that sorts, polishes and inspects capsules to ensure they meet specifications. * Maintains routine documentation on each batch of capsules; prepares log entries, and labels product container(s). * Lifts/carries containers parts or capsules weighing up to 30 pounds regularly and pushing and pulling of material on wheels or with pallet jacks up to 400 pounds. * Locates/moves product into or out of drying tunnels. * Checks and maintains hardness checks on soft gel capsules. * Performs other related duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications: Education: A high school diploma or GED is required. Certification: None. Experience: None, will train.
