/Project Specifics: 6 positions with an anticipated start date of 4/25/25. The Trailer Assistant is responsible for conducting the manual adipose fin-clipping and coded-wire tagging on juvenile salmon and steelhead at nine anadromous hatcheries throughout the state of Idaho. The majority of the work is done with an automated fish-marking trailer and the Trailer Assistant is responsible for the operation of the manual section of the trailer. The Trailer Assistant will also help with the PIT-tagging operations at the nine anadromous hatcheries. Significant travel is involved working and traveling to the nine different IDFG anadromous fish hatcheries throughout the state of Idaho working collaboratively with IDFG to complete the project. Opportunity to gain extensive experience in a hatchery environment and some fish-rearing experience.
There is a potential for the right candidate(s) of moving to full year/full time employees in early December.

The House Director is a member of the Alpha Omicron Pi Fraternity Properties Team.
The position is classified as a salaried non-exempt position. This position is 40 hours per week, on a flex work schedule, including weekends, to fulfill the duties of the position. Free time includes all time the House Director is free from performing job duties and has the option of leaving the chapter house.

The successful applicant will be well versed in standard operating procedures for running a professional and high-volume casual-dining restaurant and be an adept leader and communicator.
Duties will include but are not limited to the following:
Train, assign, and monitor staff for quality of work,
Work with our operations and kitchen teams to develop menus and menu items,
Maintain cleanliness and order in the restaurant,
Ensure all staff complies with all applicable health codes, food prep and storage guidelines, sanitation regulations, and safety procedures,
Keep staff motivated and on-time for food departures and quality dining experiences,
Ensure all products leaving the kitchen meet Happy Day's high standards for taste and presentation,
Be conscious of costs, inventory control, waste reduction, labor goals, and maximization of profit,
Run reports through our software, have knowledge and understanding of P&L statements, and knowledge of scheduling and computer programs including: Hot Schedules, Jolt, Toast, Beer Saver, etc.
Have a basic knowledge of dining room and service procedures and functions,
Ensure service staff is trained, knowledgeable in menu, and delivering excellent service,
Ability to communicate clearly, effectively, and respectfully with guests and other employees, including regarding complaints,
A team-oriented approach and a calm demeanor during fast-paced, time-sensitive tasks,
Maintain high standards for work areas and appearance,
Maintain a positive attitude and commitment to excellence!
Ability to empower your team to grow in their own leadership, and
Any other relevant task associated with the running of a restaurant and as assigned by VP of Operations or President.

The Opportunity:
The Animal Technician 3/Technician Assistant will provide support during transport, restraint, examination, diagnostic procedures, work-up, treatment, induction, anesthesia, surgery and recovery of animals under emergency and routine hospital care. May assist in all aspects of patient care including feeding, maintaining hospital cleanliness, and observing animals for sickness or abnormalities. May set up areas for procedures, including stocking and cleaning of treatment and ward locations. May receive and discharge patients to designated clients or their representative and maintain case log database for callbacks, fiscal estimates and final bills, RDVM information, and case numbers. Monthly Salary:

Required Qualifications:
Two years of experience as an Animal Technician 2; OR equivalent education/experience.
Must pass WSU radiation safety training exam first time it is available.
Ability to work a variable shift that may include 10-hour shifts and/or weekends, overnights and evenings.
Large Animal Hospital positions must have, or be able to obtain at time of hire, a valid driver's license and meet requirements in accordance with SPPM 7.10 and departmental driving standards.

Experience working in a veterinary hospital or clinic.

Cardiology: The Cardiology technician provides veterinary technical support in the management and treatment of cardiology patients in the WSU Veterinary Teaching Hospital. Our comprehensive program features an array of services including cardiac diagnostic testing and consults, interventional services such as pacemaker placement and ballooning, heart disease and blood pressure management, and arrhythmia care. This position will be an intricate part of the cardiology team involved with receiving and discharging patients, assisting with procedures and treatments, and maintaining patient records. The cardiology tech will be involved with instructing 4th year professional veterinary students on properly performing electrocardiograms, venipuncture, cystocentesis, IV catheter placement, and acquiring accurate Doppler blood pressures. The technician is also involved in setting up operating rooms for interventional procedures and assisting in the procedures.
