This may include medication management, brief interventions, assessments and referrals. The Psych NP's at Amoskeag Health staff what is primarily a consultative service. The primary care providers (PCP's) refer patients to the Psych NP's by way of the counseling staff and the main reasons for referrals are either clarification of a psychiatric diagnosis or diagnoses or assistance with a medication plan of care for the patient.
