**Responsibilities**
+ Draft, manage and deliver high-quality proposals, pitches and RFP responses, particularly for multi-regional and multi-practice opportunities.
+ Collaborate with practice and sector leads to craft compelling value propositions that enhance client engagement and cross-selling opportunities.
+ Standardize proposal materials and ensure a consistent, high-quality approach to all firm pursuits.
+ Lead the intake and qualification of new opportunities, tracking proposal outcomes and implementing best practices.
+ Work with global proposal teams to support multi-region pursuits, providing input on content, experience and relevant firm expertise.
+ Utilize creative approaches to enhance the visual and written content of proposals in alignment with the firm's brand guidelines.

**Qualifications & Experience**
+ Minimum of four (4) years of experience in proposal writing, business development or a related professional services environment (law firm experience preferred).

**Key Responsibilities**
+ Initiate and lead proposal meetings, including kick off, status reviews and Red Team reviews.
+ Develop pursuit planner based on the solicitation requirements that will be used during the kick off call to assign writing responsibilities, develop or refine sales messaging and win themes, and set schedule milestones.
+ Collaborate with internal and external contributors to develop proposal content, including drafting some non-technical portions using boilerplate or earlier proposals.
+ Monitor proposal progress and drive milestones, priorities and deadlines.
+ Maintain communication with proposal team on the status of proposal development tasks and proactively address challenges as they arise.
+ Layout proposal using InDesign template, in alignment with stated requirements and brand guidelines.
+ Review, proofread and edit proposal sections to be tailored to the solicitation requirements.

+ Work with graphic design team to develop compelling graphics.

Job Summary
Harris-Stowe State University, (HSSU) in collaboration with other HBCUs, has been awarded a National Science Foundation (NSF) grant to build research capacity at the institution. This grant aims to establish and sustain a University Research Office that will align with its Sponsored Program Office to support grant administration, expand faculty collaborations with academic institutions, industry, national labs, and government organizations; and provide professional development and research grant training to faculty.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Reporting to the Sponsor Program Officer, the Grant Specialist will oversee post-award operations for grant accounting. The Grant Specialist will lead day-to-day financial operations of federal grants awarded to the University including budgeting, monitoring expenditures, reconciling financial data, and managing sub-awards. Duties will also include preparing and processing financial reports and invoices, ensuring compliance with allowable costs, and processing accounting transactions.
Essential Functions
The Grant Specialist will manage data collection, evaluation, annual reports, budgets, and other financial responsibilities related to federal grants awarded to HSSU.
Assist HSSU faculty with preparing accurate detailed budgets for grant applications and renewals.
