This is a highly cross-functional role which requires proposal writing and management experience, leadership, and excellent written and oral communication skills. **In this role, the ideal proposal manager will:** + Develop and execute a Proposal Management Plan including an RFP requirements matrix, mockups, storyboards, frameworks and templates, and other planning as appropriate to result in a compliant, responsive, and winning proposal. + Work in partnership with technical subject matter experts to translate written and verbal descriptions of technology and solutions to develop government proposal documentation as applied to solving customer problems. + Develop compelling, differentiating content on competitive RFP proposals, sole source responses, and proactive proposals. + Participate in strategy sessions with business development, capture, and other internal stakeholders, to develop win themes and other strategic approaches to result in a winning proposal. + Create and manage response schedules to ensure contributors are on track with requirements and deadlines, including anticipating and clearing roadblocks and barriers. + Train and coach authors of similar documents to improve their persuasive writing abilities that directly address customer needs, requirements, and evaluation criteria. + Effectively advise and direct internal organizations to result in a compliant, responsive, and competitive proposal. + Manage completion of technical volumes, cost volumes, and other required documentation. In some cases, this may include leading preparation for oral presentations. + Communicate to a broad audience of stakeholders, including executives, on proposal planning and development progress and escalations as needed. + Establish proposal development tools and templates which incorporate automation, scale, and quality improvements. + Continuously improve the proposal generation and writing process to increase customer focus, efficiency, and quality.
