Bihar: In 2018, PRONTO International continued a long-standing collaboration with CARE India in Bihar. CARE began to transition their large-scale nurse mentoring program from a cadre of BSc trained nurses originating outside of Bihar to a cadre of Auxiliary Nurse Midwives (ANMs) and General Nurse Midwives (GNMs) working within the Bihar health system dubbed AMANAT Jyoti. CARE hired 60 Nurse Mentor Supervisors to train this cadre of ANMs and GNMs as mentors (700 in total). PRONTO conducted a Simulation Facilitators Training (SFT) and a TOT (Training of Trainers) for the 60 Nurse Mentor Supervisors in January. PRONTO followed up with Fidelity Monitoring and Supportive Supervision as the NMSs trained the ANMs and the GNMs as mentors. PRONTO conducted an ASFT (Advanced Facilitation Training) in December for the NMSs. Within Bihar was also Uttar Pradesh: In 2018, PRONTO worked with the UPTSU (UP Technical Support Unit) to implement simulation and team training in 15 facilities in the 5 HPDs (High Priority Districts) managed by the UPTSU. PRONTO conducted a Simulation Facilitators Training (SFT) from March 6-11, 2018 for 16 Nurse Mentors and 6 ZTS (Zonal Technial Specialists). Pronto staff visited the sites for supportive supervision and baseline simulation assessment during April and May, 2018. PRONTO conducted an ASFT (Advanced Facilitation Training) from September 17-20, 2018 for 18 Nurse Mentors.Pronto is a relatively young company. It was founded only in 2015.
