The Civil / Environmental Engineer will perform landfill design work, from concept through completion of detailed design. Projects include design of landfill cells, rehabilitations, and closures, including landfill liners, leachate, gas, and stormwater management systems.
As an SME Civil / Environmental Engineer, your work will include:
preparing permits, technical reports, and detailed landfill design plans and specifications
monitoring or managing landfill construction projects, and
protecting surface and groundwater as an important part of landfill management by evaluating water quality data, writing reports, and monitoring test borings and test pits.
Because the Civil / Environmental Engineer works closely with SME's multidisciplinary staff and frequently interacts directly with clients, regulatory agencies, and the public, your strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal) are important. Required Skills and Qualifications
3+ years of civil/environmental related design experience
Preference will be given to candidates with experience in tasks including site grading, stormwater management design, and erosion control design
B.S. or M.S. in Environmental, Civil, or Geotechnical Engineering
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook) and AutoCAD software
Familiarity with geology, hydrogeology, soil science, construction, specification preparation, pumping system design is a plus, and
Engineering Intern or Engineer in Training or other relevant certification is a plus.

A Lead Electrical Design Engineer position is available in Biddeford, ME. This role is responsible for leading protection and control design projects within substations, power plants, and switchgear. The engineer will perform and oversee all aspects of electrical design, including but not limited to protective relaying, circuit breakers, transformers, PLCs, HMIs, network architecture, and SCADA systems. Major Responsibilities:
The Lead Electrical Design Engineer will provide engineering services for utility substations and generation stations. Key responsibilities include:
Designing and overseeing the development of electrical systems for substations, power plants, and switchgear upgrades, incorporating advanced knowledge of protective relays and control systems. Experience with IEC-61850 is preferred.

Education:
