Requirements
Bachelor of Architecture or Engineering. Master's Degree Preferred.
5+ years of experience
Professional licensure is preferred.
Experience with facade assessments, CD's, and construction phase services in the field and office. Knowledge of conservation or preservation techniques is preferred.
Ability to travel to job sites around the Maine, New Hampshire, northern Massachusetts and the greater Northeast.
Proficiency in Bluebeam, Revit and AutoCAD.

WHAT THE ROLE DELIVERS
Support POLYVAVTIS's goals to expand its sheet product line by providing technical leadership on major product development projects and technical/application support for iconic ACRYLITE and LEXAN™ sheet and coated sheet. Primary interface between sales, customer and manufacturing.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Contribute to improved safety performance by following all established safety and loss prevention practices, by demonstrating a high level of safety awareness and by proactively addressing all safety concerns.
Protect health of employees, the community and the environment by ensuring that all activities performed are in full compliance with POLYVANTIS's hygiene standards and environmental laws and regulations.
Identify and/or develop technologies for the manufacture of new products. Interact with POLYVANTIS manufacturing, sales personnel and external customers in the development process.
Facilitate plant development schedules for assigned projects by planning, writing, and performing manufacturing trials with plant staff, ensure the resulting products are completely and thoroughly tested and evaluated for physical properties and fabrication performance. Provide documented analysis and results.
Enhance existing products by identifying or developing new production technologies, formulations or procedures. Recommend changes to specifications for existing products.
Provide high quality technical assistance to customers on all aspects of the properties and applications of sheet products, provide technical support for fabrication methods and technologies, and conduct training for customers in the applications workshop or the customer's business location.
Provide expert troubleshooting assistance to the Sanford manufacturing facility, as needed, in areas of product expertise.
Ensure the complete development of manufacturing specifications and procedures for new products by assuming technical responsibility for new product production runs until the product is accepted by the plant as "ready for commercialization".
Support sheet product marketing efforts by contributing to marketing videos, eblasts, trade shows and fostering relationships with collaborative partners (i.e. router and printer companies).
WHAT WE ARE SEEKING
Bachelor's degree in a chemical, polymer, material science or mechanical engineering
3-5 years of technical/manufacturing experience.
Knowledge of plastic sheet production and manufacturing technologies.
