Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Plans, manages, executes, and reports on analysis, design, and testing aspects for Compotech's various programs.

Participates in providing weekly, quarterly, and monthly progress reports to the program manager as well as to clients and sponsors.
Writes technical reports and papers detailing research and development activities for clients, and sponsors.
Monitors program budget and recommends allocation of dollars accordingly.
Researches, recommends, and determines specifications for purchase of equipment, materials, and supplies for use in research projects.
Identifies and interacts with various vendors and manufacturers.
May occasionally travel to job sites for support of training on systems, technical presentations, or testing events.
Requirements:
B.S. in related Engineering field (mechanical or structural focus). M.S. is a plus.
Experience and/or coursework in some of the following areas: composite analysis, finite element modeling, engineering design, advanced mechanics of materials.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects and constant deadlines.
Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment with Compotech's team of, engineers, technicians, interns, and contractors.
Excellent 3D computer aided design (CAD) skills using SolidWorks .

hipyard Field Engineering is looking for dynamic individuals to work at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard Reactor Plant Contractors' Office (RPCO). This is a growth and development position that offers significant autonomy. Positions are available in Integrated Plant Testing and Refueling Services. This is a hands-on position where you can play a significant role in integrating the efforts of multiple stakeholders to ensure the success of naval nuclear ship maintenance and construction. The Test Engineer position requires 8-10 months of in-house technical qualification, and the Reactor Servicing Engineer position requires approximately 6 months of in-house technical qualification (less with prior applicable experience). Upon successful completion of the technical training at either the Knolls or Bettis laboratory the candidate will be relocated to Portsmouth Naval Shipyard.
RPCO Field Engineers function as independent company representatives at nuclear capable shipyards and Naval Bases. They conduct highly visible work with a broad spectrum of responsibility, including technical support, consultation, and oversight through the performance of installation, testing, diagnosis, troubleshooting, and repair of complex equipment and nuclear systems. The position requires engagement in a shipboard industrial environment meeting directly with ship's force, senior shipyard leadership, and Naval Reactors. Field engineers are proactive in identifying and preventing problems to avoid impacts to cost and ship delivery schedules. They provide technical direction for problem resolution and oversee compliance with contractual requirements. Our engineers research, evaluate, and recommend new products and equipment upgrades as necessary. RPCO field engineers function independently to ensure the best interests of the Company.
Because this is a NNL career development opportunity, it is strongly recommended that upon completion of a 3 - 5-year assignment in the field that the candidate return to the one of the laboratory locations to further their career as leaders within NNL.

What You ll Do
Propose and sell customer solutions by listening to and evaluating our customer s requirements and selecting and proposing innovative control solutions according to our customer s and principal s standards and practices.
Grow our valve automation business to meet annual company sales goals targets in our coverage area by promoting and fostering NECI s reputation as a total valve supplier for ball valves, butterfly valves, valve automation, and solutions. Includes participating in training, developing a sufficient knowledge base of all product lines our company represents, being able to readily access all necessary information to develop and price valve automation solutions, and demonstrating a satisfactory competency level to meet the expected standards of performance necessary to deliver valve automation solutions to our customer base in a timely manner.
Achieve desired sales results for annual new product initiatives by participating in NECI and principal new product launches, probing and uncovering customer needs and pain points, and applying our new technology and product solution offerings.
Provide support &technical services to customers by assisting users with start-up, checkout, and calibration, and resolving product and/or service problems based on our principal s standards and practices and Northeast Controls internal procedures.
Additionally, being responsible and accountable for following through on all customer orders, returns, credits, and invoicing issues etc to a satisfactory resolution in accordance with Think Customer principals.
Support on time delivery to customer by assessing customers needs, determining the factories abilities to meet those needs, and negotiating mutually agreeable due dates with the customer. As appropriate, to also assist in expediting products and services with our suppliers and principals in order to meet or exceed committed customer expectations. This includes anticipating or recognizing situations or circumstances when total customer satisfaction is at risk and taking ownership of resolution.
Identify new sales opportunities and ensure consistent service by maintaining accurate customer information data utilizing IFS and identifying and qualifying new opportunities with our customers, and fully supporting our Account Managers plans and strategies for account growth and penetration.
Understand and actively participate in our quality management system by adopting our quality policy and all appropriate elements of our quality management system, dedicating your efforts to the reduction, elimination, and prevention of quality deficiencies, and initiating proper actions to prevent the occurrence of nonconformities related to our products, services, processes, and quality system. This also includes your timely participation as required in Corrective and Preventive Action Requests, Quality Circles/Teams, and collaboration with other Company Departments on continuous improvement initiatives.
Participate in the company s safety and health program by understanding and following the established policies and procedures of our Safety and Health Manual, notifying appropriate Supervisors/Managers of any observed workplace safety and health compliance issues, and implementing appropriate recommendations to help improve our Company s overall Safety and Health Program.
Maintain and develop professional and technical competence by attending periodic factory or principal-based training sessions, appropriate web-based training classes/seminars, periodic hands-on training, departmental meetings, as well as periodic professional development workshops or classes.
Inform supervisor/manager and appropriate NECI personnel of market conditions providing timely reporting of key customer and competitor activities within the territory.
