Job Responsibilities: Lead the installation and commissioning of new powertrain test setups, including conventional combustion engine and hybrid configurations. Identification and implementation of necessary connections, measurement points and instrumentation to support testing efforts. Plan, coordinate and execute the testing of engines, aftertreatment systems, powertrain systems and OBD systems on engine/chassis dynamometer or in application. Analysis of measured parameters and system performance relative to project targets. Calibration and validation of electronic control unit parameters to satisfy program objectives. Summarize findings and prepare presentations/reports for internal and customer review. Manage customer hardware and project component inventory and logistics. May involve work onsite at customer facilities, vehicle test trips to support ongoing development programs. Coordinate material/subcontractor deliveries in accordance with project schedule, and notify Project Manger of any issues. Assist PM in documenting project meetings through meeting minute format - provide distribution to all parties Assist PM with cost control functions, i.e. pricing of additional work through bulletins, direct owner requests, etc. Request, receive, log in and validate subcontractor quotes, submit to PM for review prior to the assembly of change request documentation. Participate in developing and maintaining a fair and just working relationship with with the Owner's, Architect, Engineer, Consultants, AHJ, etc. which will result in both project specific success and long-term benefit. Administer close-out procedure from start to finish with assistance from project manager, project coordinator and superintendent. Process includes close-out log, assembling and packaging of maintenance manuals, as-built drawings, warranties, and other documents in fashion acceptable to owner/architect, as well as coordination with subcontractor and superintendent for commissioning/training as required. Responsible for tracking of attic stock materials through subcontractor and superintendent. Assist superintendent with the Punch List process as required. Communicate non-compliant subcontractors with project manager and accounting in order to withhold money until subcontractor is compliant. Perform additional assignments per Project Manager's direction. Maintain professionalism during work hours in support of Braun Construction Group's image. Actively market Braun Construction Group services to potential clients. Communicate potential leads to business development manager and project executive. Provide subcontractor evaluations to Vice President Operations and Estimating. Provide customer engineering estimates and a high-level technical explanation on the quote, manage all technical aspects of RFQ responses. Facilitate 3D and 2D models' development balancing the customer requirements and internal performance standards, and new concept development with customer and internal design team by conducting feasibility study. Support customer design change ideas & cost reduction plan; Effectively collaborate with customers on engineering change process and lead internal implementations. Resolve customer in/postproduction issues by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports, and making recommendations to the management. Coordinate project activities with customers and internal teams for program timing/delivery, industrialization, APQP process (DVP&R, DFMEA). Implement pre-sale, in-sale and after-sale customer service, and handle customer complaints in a timely manner according to procedures. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Aerospace) required. Minimum of 3 years' experience in automotive heat exchangers/cooling system development. Experience with EV vehicle thermal system, battery cooling, HVAC/heat pump system a plus Experience in any of the following manufacturing methods a plus: plastic injection molding, aluminum casting, CAB brazing, stamping. CAD design experience (Catia V5, UG/NX, Solid works, Pro/E or Creo) a plus Familiar with APQP process, 8D reporting, FMEA, DVP&R, and program management. Ability to handle multiple projects, complete tasks on-time, and ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
