Job Responsibilities
Researches, plans, analyzes, designs, and develops mechanical products such as ammunition handling systems, structures, gun systems, missile launchers, mechanisms, and other devices. Performs technical analysis, testing, and evaluation of moderately complex engineering problems using specialized equipment and computer programs. May deliver technical presentations related to production support activities •Provide design & manufacturing production support for U.S. Navy Vertical Launching Systems & Canister products. • Reduce to practice innovative payload support mechanism development design concepts with team to 3D CAD model. • Present weekly Change Notices to Material Review Board (MRB) including end item mechanical & electrical component selection. • Function as Technical point of contact (POC) on government contracts for Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) & Notice of Revisions. • Create & maintain product parts, assemblies & drawings using PTC Creo Parametric 4.0 M080 modeling software. • Provide Production support from shop floor development through full scale production, and processed MRB (NCs, CAs, etc.). • Collaborate with Suppliers, Procurement, Quality, Operations, and Electricians on design & manufacturing issues • Performs complex engineering design, development, analysis, experimentation, test, and product assurance tasks of limited complexity for assigned portions of a project. • Solves moderately complex engineering problems which have not been clearly defined and may not have similar precedents available. • Ensures tasks meet cost, quality, schedule, and performance requirements. • Applies wide range of engineering design and analytical theory, principles, techniques, and practices to a complex portion of a technical project. • Develops and maintains effective relationships with customers. • Acquires and maintains up-to-date knowledge of relevant engineering disciplines, industry practices, trends, and applications • Maintains a safe work environment and ensures compliance with safety policies and rules. • Provides input to project leaders for the development of project plans, schedules, and budgets.
Skills Required
Must have working knowledge of creating moderately complex solid models and mechanical designs using CAD systems, preferable PTC Pro-E or CREO. • Ability to solve moderately complex technical design and development problems that require a professional level of engineering knowledge. • Strong communication skills (verbal and written).

Primary Responsibilities

Equipment Qualification: Assists in validating and qualifying equipment, ensuring tooling meets customer requirements for PPAP or equivalent.
Customer and Supplier Contact: Communicates with customers and suppliers to resolve design-related questions and provides engineering data as needed.
Research and Development: Supports the development of new technologies and solutions under the guidance of senior engineers.
Minimum Qualifications
Four-year Technical College Degree in engineering discipline (BSME, BSMS, BSEE) or equivalent

The Principal Engineer will be responsible for design and development of an investigational structural heart implant. This position will lead next generation projects and ensure a rapid introduction to clinic of new designs. The primary focus of this position will be implant design, development and testing.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the R&D technical lead for the development of our next generation device, and provide technical leadership related to product design.
Design and develop product(s) in compliance with the company's Design Control requirements and applicable regulatory requirements.
Develop protocols/reports and perform product in-vitro, in-vivo as well as verification and validation testing.
Supporting regulatory submissions for next generation devices, by ensuring compliance to requirements (US & OUS).
Working cooperatively with process development, quality, manufacturing, regulatory and clinical to ensure project success.
Experience & Skill Requirements
BS in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or related field.
Principal : 10+ years of Class III medical device design experience with a Bachelor's degree.
Senior : 7+ years of Class III medical device design experience with a Bachelor's degree.
Implant testing experience (e.g. hydrodynamic testing, AWT, simulated use testing)
History of Physician and KOL interaction

In this role, you will be responsible for supporting existing products in water treatment markets sold in retail, commercial, and e-commerce channels. Specifically, these activities in this position include product enhancements and additions, cost improvements, identifying potential alternate sources, and investigation of quality concerns. In addition, the design and development of new products is an element of this role.
Essential Functions:
Perform recurring engineering activities on existing products as needed and work cross functionally to solve problems.
Identify cost savings or multi-sourcing opportunities. Support development of these work plans, including work breakdown structures, cost estimates, and schedules. Drive implementation of approved plans.
Assist the integration of new and revised products into manufacturing.
Initiate and execute engineering change orders, including CAD model/drawing creation and modification.
