An Industrial Engineering company specializing in custom conveyor systems design, commissioning, and integration is looking for a Structural Engineer to join their expanding Structural team. The Structural team is lead by a PE, and hires Engineers with 0-4 years' experience with the goal of improving their professional skillsets in structural design, modelling, and analysis. You will be given the opportunity to learn and advance at the pace you set for yourself. You will work with tenured engineers who have a deep level of knowledge, as well as various Mechanical Engineers at or near the experience level as yourself. Ideal candidates are recent engineering graduates from School of Mines or a top 50 Engineering College with less than 2 years of experience and a GPA of 3.7+. Responsibilities will start out at 80% design and 20% modelling/analysis, and will move to heavier analysis as you progress. All work will be done for mechanical designs and layouts of components that will go into customized systems for various clients across the US. Additional duties include maintaining project drawing files, read shop drawing, and prepare submittal documentation.
This is a contract-to-hire position that will become permanent after 6 months. This company only promotes internally, leaving plenty of room for advancement, including a support structure to achieve EIT and PE. This position is working in direct supervision of a PE and will apply towards applicable PE experience. Candidates must pass a drug test.
