Perform visual inspections and basic measurements of parts after assembly steps.
Conduct functional tests using various equipment (e.g., electrical, helium, and leak tests) to ensure accuracy and functionality.
Read and interpret dimensional measurements using tools like calipers and scales.
Complete required dimensional training and demonstrate proficiency.
Be proficient in assembly processes, including cutting, stripping, and crimping wires.
Operate test equipment and handle hazardous materials safely.
Use a wide variety of hand and power tools, and learn to use complex tools and equipment as needed.
Obtain and maintain high reliability solder certification, solder inspection certification, and Class I and II weld inspection certification.

Maintains established cycle settings on assigned machines to ensure production quantity
Stops production in the event inferior product is being produced.
Perform all assigned quality tests to measure the quality of the product being made (i.e. straw length, diameter testing, color testing and straightness of product). This requires frequent fingering and handling of the product to inspect for defects.
Check order to ensure correct product, boxes, and cartons are being used for scheduled job.
Comply with all safety rules, polices, procedures and practices to include performing lock-out/tag-out of production equipment when required.
Diagnose and determine cause for machine malfunctions along with making operator troubleshoot to assigned machines.
Immediately respond to any defective goods.
Maintain a safe and clean work area at all times.
Fill out labor sheets at end of shift noting production and downtime using the company computer.
Ability to work independently and function as a team member.
Ability to follow directives from the leadership team, managers and supervisors, in ensuring productivity and target levels are sustained.

Jacksonville Orthopaedic Institute is looking for a Full-time - Basic Machine Operator/BXMO to join our team at the Jacksonville Beaches JOI clinic.
Schedule: Monday- Friday No weekends. The Basic Machine Operator/BXMO will be responsible for direct patient care in a fast-paced outpatient Orthopedic environment. Key Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Responsible for learning and applying the radiographic protocols and unique projections necessary to assist our specialty providers in the treatment of their patients.
Responsible for machine, system startup and shut down at the beginning and end of the week.
Enter examination requests into EMR, retrieve and return patients to examination rooms, explain procedure to patient, question female patients regarding possible pregnancy, assist patient on and off the examination table, position patient, set exposure factors according to technique guide recommendations as well as job knowledge and good radiologic practices, adjust lead protective shielding where applicable, and apply beam collimation to limit primary beam to the field of interest.
Directly responsible for assuring that all images are labeled properly and meet the exacting image standards required by the physicians.
Will perform all related computer work in EMR and PACS, as required.
Responsible for maintaining safe and clean radiographic room for patients and staff, restocking radiology exam room and other duties as assigned.
Must have the ability to work independently, with Keiser University Radiologic Technology students or with other team members in support of our 20+ Physicians, PAs, and NPs.
All radiology staff must adhere to all JOI policies related to HIPPA, information protection, infection control, quality assurance, documentation and equipment cleaning.
Must be able to work under the indirect supervision of a Physician or Licensed Radiology Technologist per State of Florida Guidelines as of Aug 2024.
Not eligible to use the C-Arm or Fluoroscopic Imaging per State of Florida Guidelines as of Aug 2024.
Position Requirements:
Must hold FLDOH license as a Basic Machine Operator.
Experience required with DR systems.
CPR/AED (American Heart Association) or equivalent
Must have the ability to set up and operate radiographic equipment
Must have effective communication skills
Must possess excellent customer service skills with the ability to effectively handle difficult situations and resolve patient concerns
Ability to organize, prioritize and deliver in a fast-paced environment
Physical Demands:
Requires a full range of body motion including handling and lifting of patients and handling medical equipment and supplies.
Requires standing and walking for long periods of time.
Ability to lift up to 20 lbs regularly and up to 40 lbs occasionally.
Ability to stoop, squat, kneel, and crouch occasionally.
Requires finger dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
Occasionally requires the use of wearing a lead apron for the duration of a shift.
