Responsibilities
This position is responsible for the preparation of mounting and making flexographic plates to meet production schedule.
* Performs duties using provided flats, job ticket, working papers, daily production schedule and verbal instructions
* Prepare print cylinder sleeves by stripping and cleaning sleeves from previous print runs
* Setup plate exposure equipment and loads film flats and underdeveloped printing plates
* Make sure vacuum frame and glass are free of dust, debris, etc and exposure for proper amount of time
* Perform manual and step and repeat operations as required
* Check finished plates or proofs for flaws, position and check for proper exposure using standard scales and printers loop
* Send proofs for customer and production approval as required, make plates from approved proofs or film and send to pressroom
* Add mounting adhesive tape per print unit chart and work instructions
* Prepare graphic plates for mounting by trimming the plate to proper fit on sleeves
* Work closely with the production schedule for changes in priority
* Notify PrePress Team of any potential problems such as sleeve shortage, run-ability, etc
* Notify PrePress Supervisor of any equipment problems or issues
* Follow safety rules, keep work area clean and ensure the department is in orderly condition
Qualifications

The Production Technician is an integral part of our Manufacturing team based out of our US - Sarasota, FL site.
Position Details
Phibro Biotechnics is a worldwide leader in the development of bioproducts for a large range of bioremediation and bioaugmentation applications including wastewater, soil/ground water, industrial and consumer products, poultry, and agriculture. We are seeking enthusiastic, team-oriented individuals to join our Production group in this full-time, entry-level position. This position is 1st shift, Monday through Friday from 5:00 am - 1:30 pm, with some mandatory overtime.

Key Responsibilities
* Operation, care and routine maintenance of production processing equipment
* Assembly and disassembly of valves and manufacturing equipment
* Clean and sanitize work room and equipment between each production run.
* Accurately weigh raw material for production
* Operates forklift to move and store raw materials, in process, and finished goods.
* Participate in inventory counts
* Must be able to perform daily duties safely in a fast-paced, team environment
* Maintaining a clean and safe work environment including general cleaning duties for plant and employee safety
* Adhere to standard operating procedures and GMP practices
* All manufacturing activities will be performed according to SOP's (Standard Operating Procedures)

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
Extraction: Support extraction processes, including operating extraction equipment, and ensuring the safe and efficient production of cannabis concentrates.
Lab Work: Assist with lab-related tasks, including the preparation and testing of samples, maintaining lab equipment, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
Packaging: Assist with the packaging of cannabis products, including labeling, weighing, and sealing products for distribution.
Quality Control: Conduct quality control checks throughout the production process to ensure products meet company standards and regulatory requirements.
Sanitation: Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including the cleaning and sanitization of equipment and work areas to prevent contamination.
Compliance: Adhere to all state and local regulations, as well as company policies and procedures, to ensure legal and operational standards are met.
Inventory Management: Assist with inventory management, including tracking and recording product quantities, and reporting discrepancies.
Lab Work: Assist with lab-related tasks, including the preparation and testing of samples, maintaining lab equipment, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
Adaptability and Learning: Stay updated on industry trends and new technologies. Be open to learning and implementing new methods to improve production efficiency and effectiveness.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS YOU'LL BRING
Required

Previous experience working in a cannabis production facility, lab, or a related manufacturing environment.
Familiarity with quality control, policy, procedure, and documentation
Experience with cannabis extraction processes, lab procedures, knowledge of production techniques, and proficiency in using production-related software and tools.
Ability to learn new technologies
Ability to multitask and be aware of multiple active processes
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to consistently lift up to 25 pounds
