The Materials Manager is accountable for creating and maintaining an efficient production schedule for the Converting manufacturing operation for one of Novipax's manufacturing plants. The Materials Manager will develop inventory planning strategies ensuring the production and supply of finished goods for on-time shipments. The Materials Manager is central to the daily operation of the business and will be expected to network with key internal and external constituents keeping pace with workload demands. Candidate must possess a strong analytical, technical skillset, and a strong communicator.
RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES:
Plans and manages the plant production schedule to best utilize the company's productive capacity.
Working with Director, Supply Chain, accountable for raw material and finished good inventory levels and service level attainment.
Work with R&D function to efficiently schedule customer and raw material trial program
Coordinate approved use of aged and obsolete raw material; coordinate discontinued product disposal with Finance
Coordinate with Quality function customer claims and rework
Maintain inventory accuracy through the implementation of the Company's cycle counting procedure.
Mitigates shortages and excess inventory by monitoring finished goods inventory levels and adjusting the production plan accordingly.
Analyzes and reacts to MRP demand signals, adjusting production timing and volume appropriately.
Works with Operations to develop attainable schedules, eliminating inefficiencies and improving workflows to meet fill rate targets, communicates to production floor and enforces schedule adherence.
Develop strategies that reduce planned downtime and increase average daily throughput.
Interfaces with Sales, Customer Service and core customers to address demand requirements and production timing.
Facilitates communication and action to resolve supply constraints and/or bottlenecks.
Working with the Director, Supply Chain, minimizes supply chain critical issues and conducts root cause analyses resulting in correction action.
Reviews item master settings such as safety stock, minimum run size and run frequency.
Identifies and communicates critical issues, gaps and constraints to leadership and stakeholders
Serves as key project champion for systems upgrades, implementations and Real Time Reporting.
Working with CI team, develop and implement policies, procedures and SOPs to ensure consistent quality and operating efficiency.

**The Job You Will Perform:**
The Area Manufacturing Excellence Leader (AMEL) is a senior process engineer that reports directly to the Business Unit Manager (BUM), and will be assigned to the Power Area at the Vicksburg Mill. The ME Leader is directly responsible for the Manufacturing Excellence process, which includes year-over-year (YOY) continuous improvement in the areas of safety, quality, productivity, reliability and cost reduction. They are a dedicated resource for improvement projects in their assigned operating area or mill wide, as necessary. The expectation is that a minimum of 75% of the ME Leader's time will involve activities related to Cost Reduction and Deliberate Improvement. The ME Leader must ensure close coordination with resources at all levels of the organization, including Business Unit Managers, Area Managers, and the "improve" resources, to ensure the department's improvement plan is coordinated and cohesive.

SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for maintaining high production, quality, and yields while ensuring the safest working environment possible. This position requires an essential understanding and control of the production process, accurate record keeping, and general line maintenance and staffing.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Checking daily production orders to ensure fulfillment of customer orders
Ensuring every position is filled before start-up of production line
Overseeing Team Member morning exercises and job rotation to facilitate ergonomics
Ensuring all machinery is performing to the highest standard possible.
Ensuring all workstations have passed USDA Inspection
Promoting safety daily as well as through monthly safety meetings
Ensuring accurate shipments, rotation of inventory, and proper coding of products.
Additionally, knowing and communicating company benefits and compensation policies to Team Members
Providing encouragement to Team Members to build the best team possible
Critical ability to perform the human relations functions such as training Retaining, and counseling on personal and professional problems.
Overseeing various processing operations and working with other supervisors in solving problems
Keeping records of reworked or returned product
Providing continuous education on the importance of quality
Performing other responsibilities as the need arises
REQUIREMENTS:
Experience: 1+ years in a manufacturing environment and prior supervisory experience preferred.
Education: High school diploma; education beyond high school including special training, vocational school and/or college courses is preferred.
Computer Skills: Basic computer skills helpful.
Communication Skills: Strong communication skills.
Supervisory: This position is responsible for supervising a group of
personnel who perform somewhat identical and related tasks or
activities.
Travel: 1-5 trips per year.

Position Summary
An Operations Supervisor is a key leader supporting the CVS Store Management team in planning and driving store execution and performance while building consumer loyalty to CVS/pharmacy through a focus on excellent customer service. When there is no manager onsite, the Operations Supervisor leads the store and supervisory staff, ensures that store operations run smoothly, and is responsible for ensuring the completion of all opening and closing procedures.
Essential Functions:

Required Qualifications

The typical pay range for this role is:

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.

As Master Scheduler, you'll be responsible for developing, maintaining, coordinating, integrating, and communicating customer releases to the production planning system. This includes the build and ship schedule. Using customer orders, you'll develop build and ship schedules and communicate with production & warehouse. You'll oversee all production planning & scheduling activities and work closely with production teams to determine long-term strategic plans.
As the Master Scheduler, your other responsibilities will include using & updating the MRP system. You'll work with the Accounting department to provide them with needed reports of weekly production projections and track finished goods inventory levels.
To be successful as the Master Scheduler, you will need to have an in-depth knowledge of MRP / ERP Systems, Material Flow Process, Lean, Quality Systems, and the continuous improvements process. Your personal skills should include accuracy, timeliness, and excellent organizational skills.
Minimum requirements for this Master Scheduler position:
Bachelor's Degree required
At least 5 years' experience in a Production Scheduler
Experience in the automotive or global first class manufacturing experience
Experience in materials planning
MRP/ERP Systems experience.
