Encapsulation Machine Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining encapsulation machinery to ensure efficient production of high-quality products. Responsibilities: Operate encapsulation machinery competently, both independently and within a team environment. Set up, operate, disassemble, clean, and sanitize equipment according to SOPs. Record entries of each step upon completion and maintain the Batch Production Record at all times. Perform minor troubleshooting on equipment and process-related issues and repairs. Conduct in-process checks, such as average weight and individual capsule weight. Verify calibration status of weighing scales and inform the Manufacturing Manager if out of date. Maintain the cleanliness of the Encapsulation Room. Inspect Capsules for physical defects (dents, splits, holes) throughout the compression run. Also, check for color variation in the fill material. Maintain online documentation in all encapsulation operations, including the Encapsulation Machine, Capsule Polisher, and Metal Detector. Check and review batch records for accuracy. Identify and segregate rejected blends and capsules from good capsules. Inform the Manufacturing Manager of any issues during the encapsulation process, including abnormal machine operation. Document encapsulation process information as per SOP. Charge the encapsulation machine with empty capsules and blend, then transfer polished and metal-detected capsules into drums. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements / Skills: High School Diploma or GED required, with 6-12 months of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have two-piece hard-shell capsule Manufacturing Experience. Basic computer skills required. Strong motivation, organization, time management, documentation, and both verbal and written communication skills. Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively. Strong work ethic, including punctuality, dependability, and trustworthiness.
