Process Technologist / Application Specialist After Sales and Service Reports to: Dedert Service Customer Service Manager Dedert Service Product Manager The Process Technologist / Application Specialist will be a key player in ensuring Dedert's Customers achieve high levels of satisfaction in their operation of dryers and evaporators. The Systems Assessment Center (SAC) of Argonne National Laboratory (ANL) has been conducting assessments of conventional/new transportation fuels and advanced vehicle technologies over the last 25 years. It has developed the GREET (Greenhouse gases, Regulated Emissions, and Energy use in Technologies) model for estimating energy use, air emissions, and water consumption on a life-cycle basis for conventional vehicle/fuel systems, as well as for emerging technologies for energy production, energy storage, and chemical production (see ************************ for details). The GREET model has more than 50,000 registered users worldwide, including academia, industry, and regulatory agencies. The SAC has been working closely with energy and auto industries, universities, and governmental agencies to evaluate energy, environmental, and cost impacts of conventional/new transportation fuels and chemicals, as well as advanced vehicle technologies. The SAC continues to assess conventional and advanced fuels, chemicals and materials production technologies for their energy consumption, environmental impacts and production cost. Current research efforts include examination of: 1) electro-fuel production technology using waste CO2 sources and renewable electricity; 2) The energy consumption and environmental impact of hydrogen production from various technologies and energy sources. 3.) Regional renewable and nuclear electricity sources for green or low carbon H2 production and storage; 4) Regional analysis of waste CO2 sources, cost estimation for CO2 capture (from industrial sources and direct air capture [DAC]), compression, transport and sequestration. 5) A variety of new fuel/chemical production technologies from waste gas, biomass, plastic waste, municipal waste, etc. 6). Analyses of decarbonization for various industrial sectors and manufacture sector (e.g. steel, chemical). Duties/ Responsibilities: • Performs preventive maintenance inspections and service on machines. • Thoroughly cleans machines and machine parts, removing parts and reinstalling as necessary. • Oils and lubricates moving parts on machines to ensure effective performance. • Records and reports damaged, worn, or broken parts. • Orders and installs replacement parts for machines. • Identifies the causes of unexpected breakdowns of machines. • Repairs broken machines quickly and efficiently. • Prepares reports documenting work performed. • Cleans, organizes, inventories, stocks, and otherwise maintains shop areas, parts, tools, and supplies. • Coordinates with production planning to schedule regular maintenance on machines. • Collaborates with MRO manager or Facility Supervisor regarding new products being added and modifications that will be required. • Makes necessary modifications and implements tests runs; confers with product manager regarding test results and makes additional alterations to machinery as required. • Collaborate with other maintenance technical experts to conduct troubleshooting an improve reliability. • Operates production machinery are required. • Supports training of production equipment operations. • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Responsibilities / Tasks Essential Duties/Responsibilities: Follow all manufacturing procedures per GMP and FDA requirements. Responsible for maintaining a constant flow of production consistent with established production and quality standards. Prepare packaging materials in order to fill, seal, and palletize various packages according to manufacturing order. Responsible for packaging some regulated hazardous chemicals Ensure that product is being filled in appropriate pre-labeled containers. Monitor the appearance and fill levels of the materials being packaged. Monitor the operation of the equipment being utilized. Properly write up production tags with the amount of packaged product and accurately report on batch ticket. May be required to assist with unloading of empty drum trailers and other warehousing functions. Maintain a clean and neat appearance of the immediate work area. Follow all safety instructions and procedures. Your Profile / Qualifications Required Skills/Abilities: Highschool Diploma or GED. 2-3 years of experience in Chemical filling or similar type role Be certified to operate various forklift trucks. Must be able to communicate efficiently with personnel in Purchasing, R&D and QA departments. Be familiar with operating procedures for conveyors, scales, hoists, meters, etc. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to read and interpret metal rule. Be familiar with procedures such as lock-out/tag-out, confined space, HAZMAT, forklift safety and various other safety measures. Stay updated with the latest advancements in robotic technology relevant to the Folding Guard division. Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in robotics or related field is a plus. Previous experience in operating robotic machinery, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment. Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical systems. Ability to read and interpret technical documents and manuals. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Good communication and teamwork abilities. Willingness to work in shifts and flexible hours if required. Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods. Capable of lifting and moving objects up to 50 pounds. Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for precise tasks.
