Assist team leader in manpower projections and scheduling of work.
Assist team leader in maintaining and developing client base through various business development efforts.

Take an active lead in proposal for work process. Identify prospective clients and work in conjunction with team leader to establish relationship with those clients.

Qualifications:
8-10+ years of relevant experience.
B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from ABET accredited school.
Professional Engineers (PE) license (preferred)
Must have Project Management experience.

What You Will Contribute to OHM Advisors
As a Municipal Project Engineer, you will play a key role in the design, implementation, and coordination of municipal infrastructure projects. Your work will directly contribute to the successful delivery of public infrastructure improvements such as water, wastewater, stormwater systems, and roadways. You will assist in the preparation of construction documents, design calculations, and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Your contributions will also include supporting senior engineers in project tasks, conducting field assessments, and helping manage project schedules and budgets.
Your Responsibilities
Lead the design, development, and implementation of municipal infrastructure projects, including roads, utilities (water and wastewater), stormwater systems, and other public infrastructure.
Collaborate with clients, municipalities, and stakeholders to define project scope, goals, and deliverables.
Prepare and review engineering designs, technical reports, specifications, and construction documents in accordance with project requirements and regulatory standards.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and permitting requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
Provide oversight and technical guidance to junior engineers and staff, ensuring high-quality deliverables and adherence to project standards.
Conduct site assessments, field inspections, and evaluations of existing infrastructure to inform project design and scope.
Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.
Coordinate and manage project teams, including sub-consultants and contractors, to ensure all project objectives are met.
Support business development efforts by assisting with proposal preparation, client presentations, and identifying new opportunities for municipal projects.
Participate in public meetings, presentations, and client communications to provide updates on project progress, challenges, and solutions.
Assist in developing and managing project-specific plans for quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) to ensure that all work meets project standards and specifications.
Track project progress and milestones, reporting status to clients and senior management.
Stay current on industry best practices, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes affecting municipal infrastructure.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or environmental engineering with an emphasis in municipal infrastructure engineering.
5-10 years of experience in civil engineering municipal design.
Engineer-in-Training (EIT).
Tennessee PE license preferred.
Experience in roadway geometric design, intersection detail design, water main design, sanitary sewer design, and drainage design.
Experience with utility coordination.
Experience with State of Tennessee agencies, Nashville area agencies, and TDOT is a plus.
Experience with AutoCAD/Civil 3D.
Proven ability and strong desire to build and maintain lasting client relationships.
Passion for mentoring and training junior engineers and interns, fostering their professional growth.
Excellent organizational skills with a collaborative mindset, thriving in a team-oriented environment.
