Mecklenburg County is looking for a production specialist to contribute to the production of live event streaming, broadcast technology management, and multimedia video production. Excellent shooting, editing, and post-production skills required. You'll work closely with County departments, management, and elected officials to produce professional, award-winning projects to help the largest county in North Carolina tell its story.
The ideal candidate will have exceptional insight and creativity, an engaging portfolio of video projects, incredible work ethic and a commitment to embody Mecklenburg County's vision and mission. You have a broad understanding of streaming systems and live broadcast event production and a willingness to learn. You will bring new ideas and approaches to video and other visual work.
The ideal candidate will manage multiple projects simultaneously, from shooting and editing videos for internal and external audiences, creating visual social media content, shooting still photography, and researching new technologies to elevate our production capabilities. You will be instrumental in helping shape Mecklenburg County's brand and educating its residents, employees, and community partners.
Samples of past work are required, presented as a demo reel or portfolio of videos and photos.
Minimum Requirements
Experience:
Minimum of six years of public relations, communications, or related experience.

Other Requirements
* Coordinate onsite and offsite logistics for broadcast events. Operate and maintain all broadcast equipment for live events.
* Quickly identify and resolve technical issues that may arise during live broadcasts or events, including audio/video signal issues, network problems, and equipment malfunctions
* Work closely with Production Team, public information officers and management team to identify video stories that support Mecklenburg County's branding and messaging
* Create and edit superior videos that support the scripts or tone for each project; set up cameras and lights for best quality production
