    Basic Description: As a Mortgage Loan Processor/LOA, this position will be responsible for completing and verifying financial information on loan applications by obtaining necessary information to process a complete mortgage loan file. The Loan Officer Assistant (LOA) will assist & support their Senior Mortgage Banker(s) (SMB) in the origination of residential real estate loans. This support role is critical in facilitating data processing, along with analysis of documents necessary to qualify and submit client files to the Operations Department. The candidate will be working hand in hand behind the scenes with the SMB in following protocol while offering and developing a timely & efficient workflow to maximize and prioritize every aspect of origination support activities. Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines on each task is imperative. Responsibilities: The loan officer submits the file to loan processor with application, proper disclosures, income, assets and credit information. The loan processor then reviews the information in the file to verify all documentation is accurate, complete and meets established standards, including type and amount of mortgage, borrower assets, liabilities and employment information. The loan processor corrects data errors and obtains missing information when necessary. The loan processor then calls specified companies to request necessary information such as title commitment, verification of employment and hazard insurance. After the file is complete and all of the necessary information has been ordered, the loan processor submits the loan file to underwriting for approval. The file will then be underwritten and returned to the processor with a list of conditions needed. The processor will obtain proper information to satisfy the conditions that are needed for the file to be clear to close. When the processor has obtained all necessary conditions they then submit the file back to the underwriter to ensure all conditions have been met. When all conditions are cleared and the file is clear to close then the processor submits the file to the Mortgage Loan Closer for settlement Support & collaborate with all of Flat Branch Operations Staff (i.e. Processing, Underwriting, Closing, Post-Closing, Shipping and Secondary). Establish & implement comprehensive and marketing strategies to drive business development, build strong client relationships, and support the Senior Mortgage Banker in building strong realtor and client relationships. Management of Mortgage Returns and all of its functions (i.e. data entry, campaign facilitation, emails, phone calls, letters and anything else deemed necessary and/or appropriate). Create, implement, and manage necessary procedures to maximize team efficiency and provide tools for success (i.e. pipeline progression and workflow) Gather, analyze, upload and label all necessary documentation into the Encompass e-folder. Ability to use computers for data and word processing and records management. Ability to type accurately at a rate sufficient for the successful performance of assigned duties. Ability to operate and maintain a variety of office equipment as necessary in the performance of daily activities. Ability to read legal / administrative documents pertaining to the responsibilities of the job. Ability to use independent judgment in performing routine tasks. Ability to plan, organize and prioritize daily assignments and work activities. Ability to offer assistance to fellow employees as necessary. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS Requires a high school diploma or GED supplemented by one to two years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. Physical Requirements Must be able to physically perform the basic life operational functions of reaching, standing, walking, fingering, grasping, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions. Must be able to perform sedentary work exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Must possess the visual acuity to compile data and statistics, operate a computer, proof read materials, and do extensive reading Working Conditions Work in this class is performed primarily in an environmentally controlled office setting and employee is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions.
