The Solar Loan Processor is charged with the management and processing of loan applications specifically for solar energy system installations. Primary Responsibilities:

SALARY, BARGAINING UNIT & TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
This is a General Fund, 'Tested' position. This position is included in a collective bargaining agreement with Local 3144, American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees. Bargaining agreements available to review HERE. General Funded hires into this class are not covered by Social Security and will not pay Social Security taxes. They instead participate in the City Pension; the employee contribution rate is 10% of pay. Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of: (1) a pre-employment background check, (2) a pre-employment physical examination, including pre-employment drug screening accordance with the City's Drug Free Workplace Policy*, and (3) a 90-day probationary period. This includes the evaluation of submitted loan packages to determine the completeness of supporting information received. Key Responsibilities:
Review executed loan documents for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with all federal, state, local and company requirements.
Prepare loan documents to be executed by members.
Facilitate loan closings with external third-party sources.
Ensure complete loan packages are uploaded to the internal origination platform.
Directly contact members as needed to validate transaction details and repayment information.
Maintain expert level knowledge of all products and services offered. Be able to explain to members as needed.
Verify all loan terms and transaction details including financing amount, dealer fees, rates, and other transactional attributes to ensure completeness prior to finalizing the loan.
Establish new memberships within origination platform as needed.
Disburse funds through the core portfolio system.
Adhere to all policies and procedures, including security compliance, and following guidelines intended to limit risk exposure to fraud and losses. Review exceptions and escalate when necessary.
Adhere to all local, state, and federal laws/regulatory requirements as related to functional areas including the Patriot Act, Truth in Lending, Reg B, Reg Z, and Bank Secrecy Act.
