The Consumer Loan Title Processor is responsible to ensure that liens in favor of First Commerce Credit Union are perfected for every loan in which the collateral ownership is indicated by a certificate of title on all consumer loans, business service vehicle loans and loans done in Indirect Lending, while adhering to the Credit Unions Lending Policies with regards to both consumer and commercial lending. Vehicle title processors handle information regarding motor vehicle registration and process legal documents and other state-required documents.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for preparation of completed loan packages checking all documentation to ensure documents are filled in correctly to coincide with member provided identification, and requirements per loan policy as it relates to consumer and commercial loans, and proper fees are enclosed prior to sending to the Department of Motor Vehicles.
Will set up accurate tracking records, and loan notes in core system and ELT title System, this is crucial to enable proper information for auditors, management reports and early tracking of any missing loan packages or documents.
Will serve as a subject matter expert and work closely with the Consumer Loan Processing Supervisor and Processors in Centralized Processing assisting with any training needed to enable them to process loans in Temenos containing the correct documentation required for various vehicle and vessel loan types.
Works pending title reports to track incoming titles and ensure all liens are perfected in a timely manner, applying for lost in transit titles within the appropriate time frame to avoid charges to the Credit Union. This will involve extensive written and verbal communication with members, automobile dealers, other financial institutions, the Department of Motor Vehicles, FSO's, Centralized Processing, Business Services, and Indirect Lending.
Responsible for processing the paid-out loans report weekly ensuring liens are released to the correct parties to include registered owners, dealers, insurance companies for total losses and other financial institutions. Ensure both vendors and members receive proper and timely notification of the releases.
