Responsibilities:
Main technical interface between raw material suppliers and Entegris to assure all requirements for Incoming material quality is met. Collect and evaluate supplier process and product data and have an understanding how the material properties impact product quality.
Develop in-depth understanding of suppliers manufacturing processes and be a subject matter expert to reduce/prevent quality issues.
Build supplier capabilities, and assure they are capable to meet all expectations on quality, cost, and delivery.
Serve as a technical and risk assessment owner for any Supplier changes impacting the raw material
Main contact developing road map and risk assessment with Suppliers for Continuous Improvement activities on process and metrology
Build solid relationships with suppliers and interact regularly in order to focus and drive timely resolution of issues
Work closely with other functional groups in quality, manufacturing, commercial and R&D teams, global materials quality engineers and also collect information for Supplier metrics
Drive Supplier Corrective actions to completion
Lead customer investigations related to raw materials, including direct customer interfacing when necessary
Utilize Entegris' quality management processes including audits, FMEAs, corrective actions, scorecards, six sigma projects, management of change, etc to assure consistent and high quality raw material supply.
Identify and drive best value and cost reduction opportunities with existing supply base and work closely with procurement group to drive to completion.
Requirements:
3-5+ years of related chemical or polymer manufacturing related experience.
B.S Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Materials Science. Advanced degree is a plus. Six-Sigma Green Belt preferred.
Solid understanding of chemical manufacturing processes, continuous improvement methods, problem solving techniques, SPC, and FMEA. Understanding of metrology of materials and polymer processes is a plus
Ability to focus and summarize complex data sets towards key decision points (actions)
Experience in chemical or industrial manufacturing environment
Understanding of Quality Systems and Auditing and have statistical knowledge
Knowledge of Statistical software such as Minitab, JMP

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, this Summer, we're looking to add a Process Engineering Intern located in our Austin, TX site.
Reporting to the Business Excellence Sr. Manager, the student will assist with daily engineering tasks while learning, collaborating and working alongside Engineers and cross-functional teams.
What a typical day looks like:
Identifying Kaizen projects to be launched at the Austin site
Collaborating with team to complete high visibility projects
Support database work and Dashboard generation
Coordinating the implementation of the control tower based on OEE results
Attend team meetings and provide updates on project work as needed
Attend Kaizen and/or Six Sigma project reviews, follow project tracking to completion and provide updates
Student qualities we're seeking for this internship assignment:
Junior or Senior student pursuing Electrical or Industrial Engineer degree
Highly collaborative, creative and excellent communication skills
Lean Manufacturing/Six Sigma/5S/OEE experience/knowledge; highly preferred
SQL, .Net, Elastic Search, PowerBI experience
Previous manufacturing internship experience; a plus!
Internship Program Requirements:
Available to start on May 27th and work 40 hours/week (in-person) for 10-12 week Summer assignment
Currently enrolled in 4-year accredited university

As a Process Engineering Intern, your main tasks will involve running experiments and trials to improve processes, measuring materials and device properties, and analyzing data. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Contribute to the development and implementation of CelLink's flexible circuit manufacturing technology.
Run experiments and line trials to implement improvements in cost, yield, or process performance.
Take measurements of key materials and/or device properties; record, analyze, and present data reports.
Systematically apply knowledge of chemistry, engineering, physics, and materials to identify and solve problems.
Assist with documentation of procedures and job instructions; assist in training of operations staff.
Work hands-on with manufacturing equipment.
Work closely with Process Engineers, Quality Engineers, and manufacturing personnel to meet quality standards and make improvements to our products.
