Department: Sleep Medicine Sleep Lab Hours: PRN Shift: Varied Polysomnographer, PRN, Varied, Internal Med-Sleep Lab UC Health is hiring a full-time Polysomnographer for the varied shifts at UC Medical Center- Holmes Sleep Lab. The primary purpose of this position is to acquire artifact free polysomnographic recordings that can be interpreted by a physician. This technologist also will educate patients on possible disorders and treatments. This technologist will compile a report after each study is completed that summarizes the sequence of events during the sleep study. The technologist will intervene during the recording if needed, to correct technical problems or if the patient is in need.

* Ensure that all paperwork has been completed and has been scanned into EMR/EHR.
* Education: High school diploma.
* Experience: 2 years minimum required. 3-5 years preferred.
* Required Skills and Knowledge: A polysomnographic Technologist must be able to perform an accurate hookup and must be able to acquire artifact free polysomnographic recordings. Good communication skills are necessary, both verbal and written. Good knowledge of computers is a must.
* License and Certifications: Required registration by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologies (BRPT) as a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) and/or by the American Board of Sleep Medicine as a Registered Sleep Technologist (RST)
