What Will You Be Doing? Installation & Server Configuration: * Deploy and configure enterprise software applications on Windows Server environments. * Set up and fine-tune Internet Information Services (IIS) for hosting .NET applications. * Install and configure SQL Server, ensuring proper database setup, backups, and security measures. * Optimize server performance, network settings, and security configurations as per best practices. * Configure and manage firewalls, SSL certificates, authentication methods, and domain settings. Database Management & Optimization: * Perform SQL Server installations, configurations, and performance tuning. * Set up database backups, replication, and disaster recovery plans. * Troubleshoot SQL query performance issues and optimize database indexes, stored procedures, and jobs. * Implement security best practices for database access control and encryption. Testing & Quality Assurance: * Conduct pre-deployment testing and post-installation validation to ensure system stability. * Perform stress testing, load balancing, and performance benchmarking on Windows Server and IIS environments. * Identify and resolve compatibility, performance, and security issues before final handoff. Customer Training & Technical Support: * Provide training to IT administrators and end-users on system configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting. * Act as a technical advisor to clients, helping them optimize system performance and usage. * Respond to customer inquiries, diagnose issues, and provide remote or on-site support as needed. * Work with internal development and support teams to escalate and resolve critical technical issues. Documentation & Reporting: * Maintain detailed records of installations, configurations, and troubleshooting steps. * Develop installation guides, best practices documentation, and knowledge base articles. * Provide feedback to product teams regarding potential improvements or recurring technical challenges. Skills, Knowledge, & Expertise for the job: * Proven experience in Windows Server administration, IIS configuration, and .NET-based application deployments. * Strong knowledge of SQL Server (installation, configuration, query optimization, and backup management). * Expertise in Windows-based networking, Active Directory integration, and security configurations. * Familiarity with PowerShell scripting and automation tools for system configuration and maintenance. * Understanding of SSL/TLS certificates, firewalls, authentication mechanisms, and security protocols. * Experience working with cloud-hosted environments (e.g., Azure, AWS) is a plus. * Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex deployment issues. * Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
