Incumbents are specialized in electrical design and have subject matter expertise relating to solar photovoltaic (PV) design, battery energy storage systems, electric vehicle charging stations, and/or microgrid design. This role operates under limited supervision and can have significant independent discretion within the established scope of the project. This role also has significant responsibility for project quality control. While incumbents do not supervise employees, they can serve as Project Leads and mentors for junior team members. General Responsibilities • Lead engineering consulting services for clean energy project development, overseeing the production of electrical drawings for solar photovoltaic (PV) arrays, battery energy storage systems, electric vehicle charging stations, and microgrid system design. • Provide technical guidance to clients on a range of energy project development opportunities, from utility-scale to local distributed energy resources (DER). • Advance the clean energy transition by promoting constructable, maintainable solutions that reduce risk and strengthen reliability for energy project development. • Support system modeling, energy analysis, load calculations, and cost analysis for optimization of proposed clean energy solutions, using Säzän engineering standards to ensure code compliance and opportunities for future system expansion. • Engage with manufacturers, distributors, and industry partners to develop project specifications, including grant funding agencies and energy rebate program administrators. • Coordinate with Säzän engineering and design leads to integrate clean energy systems and solutions on various mechanical, electrical, and plumbing projects. • Independently manage project deadlines and work schedule.
