PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Supervises and sets direction for all Foremen and technical leads on-site to ensure best use of all company resources; and adherence to all company policies and state and federal regulations. Understands and enforces company, jobsite specific, federal, and state safety regulations on site and addresses any concerns with Trade Superintendent. Will be responsible within work discipline for the utilization of best safety practices: the management of employee training for work methods, emphasis on special risks, cranes, lifting, DOT requirements, site conditions, telehandlers, JHA's, accident injury management, electrical safety hazard, LOTO, arc flash (all as apply). Communicates with Trade Superintendent to update him/her on project problem areas and the specific status of the project. Collaborates with Trade Superintendent to plan and staff (hiring, promoting, disciplining, terminating) trade employees through the proper utilization of company resources, processes and policies. Conducts oneself with professional and respectful demeanor while interacting with all internal and external individuals. The General Foreman is expected to create a collaborative environment with front line supervision, craft, subcontractors, vendors, and the Owner to continually improve the company's delivery performance. Compares labor and equipment production and efficiency to the job estimate for specific discipline and informs the Trade Superintendent of cost over-runs and the utilization of company resources. The General Foreman is accountable for verifying that the project construction activities and project engineering are in conformance with the project Quality Plan, and Work Methods. General Foremen are responsible for establishing, aligning, and communicating the project specifications and craftsmanship expectations to all craft workers, vendors, subcontractors, and other agents. Mentors other professional positions such as Field Coordinator/Field Engineers and Foremen on work discipline, production costs, scope of work, quality, and safety. Understands scope of work per the contract. Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction. Maintain crew and equipment matrixes, comparing information back to established Work Plans and updating Operations Analysis as needed Familiarize themselves with site conditions. Provide internal surveying service to ensure construction work complies with design drawing locations. Understanding and ability to use surveying equipment such as GPS, total station, data collectors, etc. Knowledge of Surveying techniques, procedures, and calculations; Perform layout work competently and accurately as specified by Project Manager or General Superintendent; Provide checking of as-built conditions that require use of surveying techniques; Provide topographic and cross-section surveys as required for planning and payment quantities; Assist with conducting quantity calculations; Ability to interpret construction plans and perform basic calculations supporting work; Ability to work in a team environment and to communicate clearly; Ability to perform work tasks independently and safely; Experience in setting up heavy equipment GPS systems a plus. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: 3 or more years as a Construction Survey Technician; Field construction experience; Must possess a valid state driver's license prior to employment. The Position Proposition: Primoris Power Delivery is seeking a Training Specialist to join our dynamic team in the Fort Worth, TX area. He or she will work closely with Operations, Safety, Human Resources, Customers, sub-contractors, fleet, and other various organizations to insure clear and precise communication and adhere to all policies, safety rules, and work requirements for this position. Ensure that company employees adhere to all safety practices, policies, code of conduct in a professional manner. Ensure all equipment, tools, personal protective equipment (PPE) is in excellent working condition and inspect as required by Primoris Service Corporation (PSC) requirements. This person must contribute to all training content development related to operational needs. Organize, schedule, and facilitate training for New Hire Orientation (NHO), annual or compliance training for existing employees, customer or job-specific training requirements, implementation of new training initiatives, and/or changes to current training processes or procedures. This role will be hybrid in the Fort Worth, TX area. As a Training Specialist for PSC, the incumbent will administer: Production and distribution of training or classroom handouts, instructional materials, aids, and manuals. Maintain training rosters and/or records for all training classes or learning activities. Assist in multiple training events in a corporate or community-based setting utilizing traditional or modern job training. Educational & Minimum Requirements: Required Qualifications 4 years minimum in the following disciplines: Substation, Transmission, Underground or Overhead Distribution. Able to work in a team environment and assist where needed across the Utility Segment Training organization. Willing to travel to multiple locations to facilitate training as needed. Problem solving skills. Must be able to operate or possess the ability to learn heavy equipment such as Buckets, Digger Derricks, Back Yard Machines, Forklifts, and Skylifts. Must meet all requirements for obtaining OSHA 500 certification. Proficiency in Microsoft Office products including (but not limited to) Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. This job operates in a professional setting. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit or stand for extended periods of time. Normal manual dexterity is required. Normal speaking and hearing abilities to interact with others in an office environment, over telephone or other video conferencing platform. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk; and reach with hands and arms and continuously repeat the same hand, arm finger motion many times as in typing. Educational & Minimum Requirements: High School Diploma required. Minimum three (3) years of operating various types of heavy equipment is preferred. (Backhoes, Excavators, Loaders, and Skid Steers.) Minimum five (5) years of operating or locating on various types of horizontal directional drilling equipment; Ditch Witch, Vermeer, American Auger is required. Must be knowledgeable drilling in various soil conditions and mixing drill mud. Experience working and drilling in the Utility / Energy industry. Valid Driver's License is required.
