The RPA/RRA, after demonstrating competency and under the guidance, supervision and discretion of the supervising physician, will perform procedures including, but not limited to the following: Fluoroscopic procedures (static and dynamic) Ultrasound, Computed Tomography, Fluoroscopic, Stereotactic, or Fine needle guided biopsies Ultrasound, Computed Tomography or Fluoroscopic drainages and drainage catheter placements Arthrograms Lumbar Punctures/Myelograms Venous Access Procedures PICC line placement Venograms Fistulagrams Evaluate medical images, review preliminary notes and images with a supervising physician, and prepare technical reports that will be reviewed and signed off by the supervising physician. Participate in patient management, including prescriptive powers for acquisition of additional imaging procedures and record documentation in medical records co-signed immediately by the supervising radiologist. Administer and/or order intravenous medications and contrast media, under the supervision of a physician. Assist in the pre and post procedural evaluation of the patients. Participate in bimonthly Tumor Board cases. Maintain current levels of education in emerging techniques, procedures and therapies by obtaining a minimum of 50 hours of continuing education biannually as required by CBRPA or ARRT and maintain Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification. Maintain values congruent with the Code of Ethics, as well as adhering to national, institutional and/or departmental standards, policies, and procedures regarding the standards of care for patients. Perform related work as required. TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Demands include sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, stretching and lifting up to 75 pounds.
