INTRODUCTION
UConn's Facilities Operations Department, Storrs Campus, has three job openings for Power Plant Operator 2 positions. The Co-Generation Plant produces high-pressure superheated steam, electrical power and chilled water to supply energy to the Storrs campus. The plant has three 7 MW Solar combustion turbines as well as a 5 MW steam turbine and associated support equipment. In addition, a new Supplemental Utility Plant has been brought online and four chillers are operational within the facility, and one boiler will be going through commissioning soon. Operators will also be responsible for performing tasks at the South Campus Geothermal System and Chiller Plant that is currently under construction and expected to be operating in late 2027.
These positions are permanent, full time positions working rotating days/shifts; ten (10) teams of four (4) persons rotate working eight (8) hour weekdays and twelve (12) hour weekends. This is often called the "8 Plus 12 Plan". These positions are categorized as Emergency Support Services/Essential Staff. Must be willing and able to work during emergency closures/delayed openings due to inclement weather or for significant events that affect campus operations. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS - GENERAL EXPERIENCE
Three (3) years of experience in a power plant or industrial setting to include the operation, maintenance and repair of steam boilers, generators or other mechanical equipment.
Note: Based on an individual's technical experience, the length of credited service will be determined at the discretion of facility management.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS - SPECIAL EXPERIENCE
One (1) year of the General Experience must have included work performed at a cogeneration power plant or an equivalent industrial plant capable of producing high pressure superheated steam, electrical power and chilled water to meet energy needs.
Note: For State employees, this is interpreted at the level of Power Plant Operator 1.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS - SUBSTITUTIONS ALLOWED
* Graduation from a vocational or technical school with a diploma in a related field may be substituted for one (1) year of the General Experience.
* College training in mechanical engineering or a related field may be substituted for the General Experience on the basis of fifteen (15) semester hours equaling one-half (1/2) year of experience up to one (1) year.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

JOB TITLE: Triage Outpatient Therapist
EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Full-time, 40 hours/wk
SCHEDULED HOURS: Monday-Friday 8AM-4:30 pm, potential for 1x a week evening coverage (rotation)

ABOUT THE PROGRAM: ADULT OUTPATIENT PROGRAM
The Adult Outpatient services provide psychiatric & substance abuse diagnostic evaluation and treatment. Services include assessment, consultation, individual, couples, group, family treatment and medication evaluation and monitoring.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Completes intake assessment and diagnosis.
Initiates family and other collateral contacts to ensure quality, client-centered services.
Collaborates with other agency staff and external providers who are working with the clients.
Provides case management, clinical, and crisis intervention supports as indicated.
Appropriately triages calls into CHR's Assessment Center.
Coordinates referrals of clients to appropriate CHR services or external referrals as needed. This includes crisis triage and interventions (e.g. dispatching emergency services and or mobile crisis response when appropriate).
Responsible for providing clients with community resource information as needed.
Use of multiple IT programs to facilitate organization of work flow and responsibilities, including concurrent documentation.
Maintains documentation in compliance with agency and program standards.
Additional duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Master's degree in behavioral health field required.
Experience: At least two (2) years experience in a mental health setting preferred. Clinical experience in the community treatment of persons with serious and persistent mental illness and or substance abuse issues. Experience with telephone assessment and triage preferred. For identified positions, bilingual capacity may be required.
Licensure/Certification/Registration: Licensed as an LCSW, LPC, LMFT, LADC or psychologist in the State of CT preferred. License eligible required.
Training: Masters in mental health field required. Demonstrated in depth knowledge and experience as a therapist working with people with mental illness, addictions and/or serious emotional disorders. Demonstrated training and experience in all aspects of mental health treatment, assessment and evaluation.

COMPENSATION*:
$56,797/minimum, and up commensurate upon experience
*Actual rates are determined at the time of offer and are based off of relevant experience, as well as adherence to our internal equity policy. Many of our positions offer program/location differentials and/or sign-on incentives. (Please note, for part-time positions this range would be pro-rated based on hours worked)
