Essential Duties
Assist the Lead Teacher in implementing daily lesson plans and activities.

Experience/Education Requirement:
Minimum documentation of 2,500 hours working with children in a professional capacity.
Bachelor's degree in early childhood education or a related field, or a Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential
Compliance with all background checks and completion of requirements set forth by the Department of Human Services (DHS).
Current certifications in Pediatric First Aid and CPR.

Work Environment:
The primary environment is an age appropriate classroom, ranging from ages 0 to 13 years.

Qualifications:
A high school diploma or a general educational development (GED) certificate and 30 credit hours from an accredited college or university in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education or the human services field.
A high school diploma or a general educational development (GED) certificate, including 600 or more hours of secondary training.
A high school diploma or a general educational development (GED) certificate, 15 credit hours from an accredited college or university in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education or the human services field and 1 year experience with children (equal to 1250 hours).
A high school diploma or a general educational development (GED) certificate and completion of a post-secondary training curriculum.
A high school diploma or a general educational development (GED) certificate and 2 years experience with children (equal to 2500 hours).
All employees are required to obtain Criminal History, Child Abuse, and FBI fingerprint clearances prior to hiring. If these clearances have been obtained within 1 year prior to service start date, you will not be required to be obtain again prior to service start date. All 3 clearances are required to be renewed every 5 years.
All employees shall have a physical that was obtained within 1 year prior to service start date and every other year thereafter.
All employees shall have a TB test that was obtained within 1 year prior to service start date.
All employees are required to complete a Mandated Reporting training within 30 days of service start date.
