Assist lead teachers in a variety of function, including observing, supervising, organizational duties, and optimizing the learning and play environment. Be able to kneel, bend, squat, lift, push, pull, and carry children up to 70lbs. Have dependable transportation. Communicate with the Lead Teacher regarding all aspects of the children's care as well as classroom management. Must also learn and assist with: a. Caring with an eye for detail. b. Understand the childhood development process. c. Ensure kids maintain their hygiene, monitoring them health, behavioral, and emotional concerns. d. Provide kids with age-appropriate instruction. e. Work with parents to ensure that children are learning and socializing in a positive way. f. Tutor and assist children individually or in small groups to help them master assignments and to reinforce learning concepts presented by teachers. Teach social skills to students. Supervise students in classrooms, halls, cafeterias, school yards, and gymnasiums, or on field trips. Provide extra assistance to students with special needs. Observe students' performance and record relevant data to assess progress. Enforce administration policies and rules governing students.
