Assist in preparation of all types of food items while following recipes
Work as a team player
Assist in cleaning the whole kitchen area, kitchen equipment, refrigerators, freezers, and storage area
Advise supervisor of kitchen equipment repair or replacement
Properly utilize, store, and label cooked food and food items
Check computer printout for menu amounts and recipes. Report any discrepancies to supervisor. Submit food usage report to supervisor.
Any other related kitchen duties as assigned by a supervisor.
Job Qualifications:
Prior experience in a reputable restaurant or hotel that is culinary and hospitality driven

SUMMARY: The Cook is responsible for preparing and serving nutritionally balanced meals for Elevate Academy. This position is responsible for maintaining high standards of quality food production and portion control using standard recipes and also for appropriate quantities of food needed to meet menu requirements. The Cook is also responsible for assisting with supervision of the students while they learn kitchen skills; including but not limited to cleaning, sanitizing, and preparing meals.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Operate specialized foodservice equipment.
Assist in food production, service, and/or cleanup tasks as assigned.
Receive and unpack food and supplies.
Clean and maintain food service equipment and facilities.
Participate in ongoing professional training.
Observe safety and security procedures; report potentially unsafe conditions.
Understand and comply with all USDA child nutrition programs and the State of Idaho Department of Education Requirements for child nutrition.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Have essential physical and mental capabilities in the following:
