Responsibilities:
Operate machinery, including high-speed coating lines
Forklift experience
Loading raw material into the machine and unloading finished product.
Inspect general appearance of raw material, work in process and finished product.
Operate powered industrial equipment, including fork truck, antler truck, clam truck and man-up truck.
Participate in problem-solving and continuous improvement activities.
Communicate and coordinate necessary information to appropriate shift / department personnel to ensure effective operations.
Perform 5S duties and audits.
Assist in equipment maintenance activities, as directed.
Determine and control the machine cycle, varying and modifying as necessary.
Perform tests and check product routinely for multiple characteristics. Use standard measuring devices and make judgments against standards that are not readily measurable.
Meet production schedules and program production sequences for optimal productivity.
Follow standard operating procedures and specifications or instructions of higher level technical personnel. Monitor meters, gauges, valves, flow ratios, temperatures, pressures and related controls and guidelines to ensure adherence to production / process specifications.
Maintain production records and logs of equipment and product performance.
Follow all health, safety and housekeeping procedures, policies and practices. Consistently work in a safe manner with regard to self, co-workers and manufacturing systems.
Attend and participate in all required training.
Teamwork: Assist and support other team members in meeting department and site goals. Participate and share in performing all tasks necessary to run the facility. Contribute and participate in team decision making. Provide support in project work and other special requests.
Perform all other functions, as necessary.

Requirements
Responsible for performing preparation work and application of powder coat while ensuring to meet required thickness, color, and cosmetic requirements as directed by leadership. Supervise equipment and process to ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
Clean and prepare surfaces for powder coating by necessary methods.
Operate powder spray guns and related equipment including - but not limited to - sandblasting machines, hopper and booth collection systems to optimal performance.
Operate the cure/dry ovens with the ability to adjust/keep in safe and appropriate operating range.
Monitors operating supplies, provides production count to manager.
Monitors parts as necessary for equipment maintenance.
Meet company/department coating standards for efficiency, quality, and productivity. Brings any issues or concerns to leadership's attention. Follow all principles and practices of powder coat application.
Ensure uniform and proper powder coating and viscosity quality by performing visual inspections or use of available equipment such as a thickness gauge.
Perform daily, weekly, and monthly preventative maintenance services on equipment as necessary. Observe machine gauges and equipment operation to detect and repair defects.
Move, load, and unload parts as necessary from racks and other equipment, or into and out of the powder coating area as necessary using appropriate and safe lifting techniques.
Ensure guidelines are being adhered to assuring a safe work environment, following all PPE and social distancing guidelines at all times.
Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership including -but not limited to- operation of drill press, CNC router, UV printer, packing and handling of enclosures.
Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner which facilitates the success of business operations in order to meet company demands and expectations.
Qualifications
Must be able to maintain a stationary position for entirety of shift, excluding breaks.
Ability to lift boxes up to 50 pounds to a height of 5 feet.
Comfortable with working in high temperatures.
Wear PPE for 8 hours, excluding breaks.
1-2 years experience in a machine shop or powder coating shop, and should be comfortable with operating various machinery.
Familiar with safe operation and practices.
Ability to learn to new systems.
Experience with using computers, ability to learn new programs to operate machines, track job duration, and hours worked.
Experience with UV printing or other printing techniques or machines a plus.
