DEFINITION: The maintenance porter cleans and maintains the restrooms and teacher lounge bathrooms and kitchen areas in the school and assists school personnel with work requests. DUTIES: The Maintenance Porter shall: The individual will be responsible for interacting with the principal, faculty, staff, and the general public. Ensure bathrooms are fully stocked of paper products throughout the school day. Daily cleaning of the cafeteria tables. Daily cleaning of teacher lounge bathrooms and kitchen areas. Maintain cleanliness of school nurse suites throughout the day. Responsible for cleaning all mirror and glass surfaces within the school, including all classroom glass doors and entrance door glass. Demonstrates a working knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions. The individual must be punctual and have outstanding attendance practices.
