What you will do
Youll collaborate with your team to ensure your building is clean.Tasks include being able to dust, sweep, mop, wax floors, wash windows, clean sumps, vacuum, clean carpets, empty waste baskets/garbage cans, etc.
Youll prioritize the cleaning of different types of rooms including restrooms, kitchens, cafeterias, gymnasiums, etc.
Youll ensure your building is well maintained and change lights, perform minor maintenance, or other general custodial duties.
Youll work with school staff to set up your building for after school activities, special events, and/or meetings.
Youll aid staff with special projects such as moving heavy, bulky items.
Youll be available to be on call for after hours emergency assistance to the building if needed.
Youll collaborate in building wide Equity initiatives that promote the PPS mission.
Eventually youll know your building well and may be responsible for locking and securing the building at the end of your shift.
You may be assigned other reasonably related duties.
This job posting is for Custodians who work full-time (40 hours a week) in the evening, Monday to Friday, with optional overtime opportunities. Your regular shift would start at a set time between the hours of 1:45pm to 3:00pm, depending on your school assignment. This is a year-round position with work through the summer, winter and spring breaks (260 work days). With the change of pace during the summer, winter, and spring breaks youll coordinate with your supervisor to work a temporary day schedule.

You are able to: bend, stoop, twist, walk, carry and lift for eight hours per day; possess a physical condition sufficient to maintain a rigorous work schedule requiring continuous physical exertion and heavy lifting; Ability to lift 0-50 lbs.
You are able to be on call, after hours, for emergency assistance to the building if needed.

Clean RVs inside and out, including vacuuming, shampooing, and deodorizing.
Clean and polish windows, dust furniture, and clean all flooring.

Ensure to open gates and move blocker cars.
Straighten and rotate cars in parking lot as per instructions of the supervisor.
Perform duty to wash vehicle exteriors as well vacuums interiors.
Responsible to remove all trash and maintain a clean car lot.
Conduct errand run for dealership as required.
Ensure to lock all vehicles appropriately at end of day.
Responsible for vehicle flow for every car needing maintenance repairs.
Direct vehicle to apt maintenance and repair staging area
Qualifications:
