JOB SUMMARY
The Journeyman Plumber maintains all plumbing systems in district facilities, including culinary and sanitary water systems. This position also works closely with the HVAC and electrical departments to maintain pumps, heating and cooling systems, and boilers.
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
All positions require selected candidates to be fingerprinted and successfully pass a criminal background check.

Valid Utah State (DOPL) Plumber license

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES
Diagnose problems or failures in plumbing and irrigation systems to identify activities necessary to repair and maintain the systems
Install plumbing systems and fixtures (e.g., hot water heaters, drinking fountains, roof drains, sprinkler systems, pumps, etc.) to provide comfort, sanitation, and safety within facilities
Renovate plumbing systems to comply with building codes and meet accessibility and functionality requirements.
Research, inspect, design, install, test, and maintain equipment for plumbing systems to ensure the system equipment is working properly and equipment is serviced and updated as needed
Analyze drawings to identify locations of new and existing plumbing systems and develop plans for the installation of additional systems.
Perform tests on backflow systems and fire alarm systems to ensure the systems are functioning properly
Stock equipment and supplies to maintain adequate inventory levels
Transport various items (e.g., tools, equipment, supplies, etc.) to job sites
Coordinate with administration and other trades to complete projects and work orders efficiently

Primary Job Functions:

JOB OVERVIEW:
Under the general supervision of an administrative superior, performs general Journeyman level plumbing duties at various facilities. Installs, maintains, services, and repairs a variety of plumbing systems throughout Weber County including other maintenance needed as necessary.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Installs, repairs, renovates, and maintains plumbing fixtures, water and sewer lines drainage, waste, and storm drain systems, swamp coolers, drinking fountains, wet pipe sprinkler systems, booster, recirculation pumps, cooling towers, boilers and water heaters.
Installs, repairs, adjusts, or replaces automatic sprinkler/irrigation systems to include electrical and mechanical devices.
