Works with cast iron, steel, brass, copper, lead, plastic, glass, and fiberglass pipe, tile transite, soil pipe, lead solder, lubricants, and insulation of various types. Checks pipe and fitting stock and takes inventory at required intervals. Will diagnose pump problems, dismantle, repair, and align plumps or related equipment. May repack and adjust packing. May install mechanical seals. Performs rotating shaft alignment to close tolerances. Performs coupling, maintenance, inspection and lubrication.
