We are seeking a skilled Plumber to join our multifamily apartment maintenance team. As a Plumber, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing plumbing systems in our apartment complex. You will work closely with the maintenance team to ensure the efficient operation of all plumbing fixtures and systems within the property. Responsibilities Conduct routine inspections of plumbing systems to identify and address issues promptly. Perform repairs and maintenance on plumbing fixtures such as sinks, toilets, showers, and faucets. Diagnose and repair leaks, clogs, and other plumbing problems in a timely manner. Install new plumbing fixtures and appliances as needed. Collaborate with other maintenance team members to coordinate repair and maintenance efforts. Respond to maintenance requests from tenants and address plumbing issues in their apartments. Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities. Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while performing plumbing tasks. Assist with other maintenance tasks as needed, including electrical, HVAC, and general repairs. Provide excellent customer service to tenants and address their concerns in a professional and courteous manner. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent. Two years' experience as a plumber or plumbing technician preferred. Valid plumbing license or certification preferred. Strong knowledge of plumbing systems and fixtures. Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot plumbing problems effectively. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Purpose: This full-time 40 hour/week position, covered under a collective bargaining agreement with the Pittsburgh Building & Construction Trades Council, and reporting to the Facilities Manager, is responsible for installing, repairing and maintaining pipes, fixtures and other plumbing used for water distribution and waste water disposal in residential, commercial and industrial buildings.
