    As a Pipe Fitter, you will be responsible for installing, assembling, and maintaining piping systems. You will work with a variety of materials, including stainless steel, and use heavy equipment such as bandsaws and pipe welders. Your work will require you to read blueprints, rig piping systems, and ensure compliance with safety regulations, including fall protection. Individuals must be willing to travel to the southeast and be gone, usually 4 days a week. Must have a valid driver's license or government issued ID. Thread pipe using a pipe threading machine. Secure pipe to structures with brackets, clamps, and hangers using hand tools and power tools. Fit, assemble, and install a variety of metal or non-metal pipe and fittings using approved assembly techniques. Test piping systems for leaks by increasing pressure in pipe and observing gauges attached to pipes for indication of leaks. Ability to work within precise limits or standards of accuracy, at heights without fear. Must be able to climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, stand, walk, push, pull, lift, grasp, twist, and bend for extended periods of time. Use arms and hands to reach for, handle or manipulate objects. Lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds; occasionally lift items weighing more than 50 pounds with assistance. Must be able to work indoors and outdoors including times of inclement weather.
