Responsibilities:
Dig, install, test, and backfill underground sanitary and grease piping
Rough-in new drain waste and vent (DWV) and domestic water piping
Install roof drains and storm drainage piping
Thread, install, and test building gas piping
Braze, install, and service medical gas piping
Install various plumbing fixtures, including water closets, urinals, lavatories, sinks, and drinking fountains
Install plumbing equipment such as water heaters, boilers, storage tanks, recirculation pumps, booster pumps, tankless water heaters, sump pumps, and water filtration systems
Perform additional tasks such as brazing, threading pipe, grooving, soldering, and welding
Read and interpret construction and coordination drawings using Procore and other construction software on tablets
Work on ladders, lifts, and scaffolding
Follow all safety precautions on the job
Assist in training less experienced crew members
Report to the Project Manager and adhere to all company policies and procedures
Requirements:
4-6 Years of experience
Capable of performing physical tasks and lifting items up to 50 lbs
Punctual and consistently attends scheduled workdays and times
Experience with Hilti-Trimbel Total Station Layout is a plus
OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 certifications are a plus

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The purpose of this posiiton is to perform responsible skilled plumbing work in the maintenance, repair, modification, installation and construction of County facilities and equipment.
This class works under general supervision, independently developing work methods and sequences.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The functions listed below are those that represent the majority of the time spent working in this position. Management may assign additional functions related to the type of work of the position as necessary.
* Responds to work orders for repair of plumbing fixtures within County facilities.
* Installs and/or repairs pipe assemblies, fittings, valves, water heaters, water coolers and other plumbing fixtures such as sinks, faucets and toilets.
* Analyzes defects or malfunctions in plumbing systems, identifies the problem and performs the necessary repairs.
* Reviews building plans and inspects structures to assess material and equipment needed for the installation of pipes.
* Inspects and repairs circulating pumps and recommends replacement as needed.
* Provides cost estimates for repairs, installations, and maintenance.
* Orders and maintains required materials and supplies.
